Love, friendship and responsibility become the beliefs that underpin Chuck keep breathing. A watch represents love, Wilson represents friendship, and an unopened courier represents responsibility. Chuck with nothing left has these three things left. While drifting at sea, Chuck lost his only friend, Wilson, and he was crushed. Fortunately, there was a friend who secretly helped him, the whale, and Chuck finally returned to the world. After that, Chuck lost his lover again, but this time he was not knocked down. After so many experiences, Chuck obviously had a deeper understanding of life. He sensible let Kelly go home. By the end of the film, Chuck has completed his mission. Apparently, he got lost at the crossroads. It was the appearance of Bettina with angel wings that made him find his way back. He believes that love, friendship and career are the foundation of his life and he will soon find it. So the ending of the film is hopeful.
In addition, I feel that the Chinese subtitle translation of this film is a bit poor, which seems to affect understanding.
