___ "Cast Away" translated as "The Rest of the Desert Island" Commentary Wilson finished his work in the
afternoon and looked for a movie to watch.
Cast Away, an old movie.
Wilson is a smiling face drawn with blood on a volleyball by Chuck, a FedEx clerk played by Tom hanks. Chuck's plane crashed, fell into the sea, and drifted to a desert island. No water, no food, no Clothing and shoes. Chuck's plump body was stranded on the beach like an octopus. At the beginning, he hoped that he would be rescued, and he used all the resources at his disposal and all his wisdom. Learn to cut coconuts with sharp stones to eat coconut meat and juice, learn to drill wood for fire and fork fish. As he drilled the wood, a sharp, pointed wood pierced his palm, leaving a bright red palm print on a snow-white volleyball.
When everything was calm, Chuck traced Wilson's appearance with his fingers. From then on, he was no longer Alone.
Wilson silently accompanied Chuck, watching him light the first bonfire, watching him smoke the first crab, watching him bravely pull out a bad tooth with an ice skate, watching him paint a woman on the wall of the cave. Listen to him ramble, tell old stories, and that's it, four years have passed. 1500 days and nights that belonged to the two of them. Chuck won't feel alone because he knows Wilson is by his side. Wilson doesn't say a word, Chuck But he knew everything Wilson wanted to say.
Even with such sympathy, there were moments of dissatisfaction and boredom, when Chuck angrily threw Wilson away from him. I'm sure Chuck just suddenly couldn't get enough of a one-sided exchange with Wilson, and he wanted a response and more. It's just that Wilson couldn't give him what he wanted. Even so, Chuck knew clearly that he couldn't do without Wilson, because he was used to Wilson's company and his side. He shouted to find Wilson again, he needed him.
Repainted Wilson's appearance with blood. Blood gushed out, and Wilson's face was clear again. Although it hurts, I still want to keep it, otherwise I will not be able to live.
"So, we Okey? Okey? Okey." Wilson and Chuck were reconciled.
The escape boat is built.
"You still awake? Me too."
"You scared? Me too" This is the belief of life and death.
Wilson accompanies Chuck as he surfs the rough seas, holding his breath for the shark's breath. The waves were about to break their raft, and at that moment, Chuck just hugged Wilson tightly, that was his only belief.
Wilson left while Chuck fell asleep, and when Chuck opened his eyes to see Wilson drifting away, the pain of his fear and the sadness of regret were deeply intertwined. Let Chuck give up all lust in an instant. Weeping aloud, muttering softly over and over again:
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Then, he gave up the pulp in his hand. From now on, he is the only one.
Despaired, lying on the floating raft. At that moment, he must have understood a lot.
When he saw that Wilson was getting away from him a little bit, he tried his best to catch up, and he tried his best, but Wilson was still drifting away. He finally understood that he had to let go, not because he didn't want it, but because he suddenly saw the distance between them.
Seeing through all this, nothing could stop him from living. Even if he lost the woman he loves most, he can still say to himself with tears:
"I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly. But I'm so grateful that she was with me on that island. And I know what I have to do now. I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise . Who knows what the tide could bring?"
Wilson must have taught him this.
"I gotta keep breathing." I
only have faith to live the rest of my life.
