U.S.-Iran conflict with partial coverage

The conflict between the United States and the Middle Eastern countries, Christianity and Islam, seems to never be reconciled. In addition to ethnic hatred and terrorist activities, this contradiction presents many excellent cultural works. Escape from Tehran is a pretty good subject, and because the story is good, the movie is also exciting.
If it weren't for the real historical background, it would be hard for us to believe that there would be such a big conflict between the people of the two countries. The old man in the market roared with grief and indignation, the car windows were beaten by the parade crowd, and the atmosphere of terror was suffocating. The plot arrangement of the final airport security check is exciting, and the rhythm of the filming is very good. Not to mention, the male protagonist is the director himself. He is handsome and talented, which is a lot of extra points.
However, the biggest shortcoming of this film is the individual heroism of the old Americans. The whole story talks about how the Americans are in crisis, how resourceful, how brave, and what the Americans have done to the Iranians as to why there is such a conflict. Some things have been briefly mentioned, and it is a bit overblown to portray the Iranians only at the level of the mob.

Argo quotes

  • John Chambers: If you're gonna do a $20 million "Star Wars" rip-off, you need somebody who's a somebody to put their name on it. Somebody respectable. With credits. Who you can trust with classified information. Who'll produce a fake movie. For free.

  • Jack O'Donnell: [to Mendez] The whole country is watching you, they just don't know it.
