May the world be at peace, Amen

-----------------------Separation line of personal feelings that are basically unrelated to the film------- -------------

I used to be dismissive of politics, because at the time, in my understanding, politics was a power machine controlled by a small group of privileged people, a bunch of fat-headed guys Speaking of high-sounding reasons, under the guise of fighting for the rights and interests of the people, they are doing things that run counter to their oaths.
But now, with the deepening of understanding of the world, it is no longer to think in a single arbitrary way of thinking. The news, reference newspapers, celebrity biographies and current affairs books that I have been in contact with from time to time have taught me that nothing can exist by itself, and that things are interrelated and affect each other. Just like the politics that I once despised, this subject in my naive mind was equivalent to rote memorization and rotten writing, now I can finally look at it from an objective and three-dimensional perspective: Politics is not only a little hypocritical and Empty Mandarin is more or less related to people's livelihood. For example, the necessities of life that we usually come into contact with are all carried out in an orderly manner under the control of the government. Even the principles and policies that seem to have nothing to do with us will always affect our work or life.
I always despise the hypocrisy of the Communist Party, but I haven't thought carefully about the prosperity from the founding of the country to the present. How these warriors who only know how to conquer the world but have no experience in governing find themselves in the process of exploring and adjusting step by step. The direction, in just a few decades, from a mess of nothing to a power that is now comparable to the world, how shocking. I live a petty bourgeois life, but I start to dislike the country that created all this, just like disgusting the poor wife who has supported her for half her life, and doesn't know how to repay her kindness. Even though the political road is not easy, and there will be crooked roads along the way, politics must not be just a tool for some people with ulterior motives. We must know that now is not the peak of development, we are still in the process of history, let’s see if other developed countries also have their current civilization through twists and turns? Trying to understand these disgraceful sides and embracing today's hard-earned life with a forgiving heart is something I've recently learned.

-------------------------------------- Back to the dividing line of the topic------ ------------------------------

Argo, the film based on real political events, has since won awards at major awards It has been a hot topic of late in mixed reviews for countless awards. Some people say that it has a relaxed rhythm, calm and powerful, and it deserves this award whether it is a director or a starring role; others say that the film as a whole is quite satisfactory and distorts history. Movies don't deserve such a coronation. This topic reached its peak after the first lady of the United States announced through a video that the film won the Oscar for Best Picture, and it became a strong evidence of her strong political intentions. Hollywood/Oscar has once again become a political propaganda tool in the United States. For a while, I didn't know how to watch this movie.
As the Iranian side constantly criticized the film in the news media for deliberately tampering with historical events, attacking Iran, and causing widespread dissatisfaction among the people. So, with the idea of "this is a obscenity nonsense movie with a halo of American imperialism", I probably started watching it when I understood the plot (I watched a "I'm from Iran" before and learned a little about Iranian culture. It has nothing to do with the status quo, but basically has nothing to do with this movie), it is actually a very simple story, the story of a CIA expert who rescued six hostages under house arrest in Iran through a seemingly absurd cover method. Facts have proved that the plot can be understood without much historical background, because this is a main theme film, just sing praises to old beauty from beginning to end.
The film was not as profound as I had imagined, such as the incident of the former Iranian president, the political relationship between the United States and Iran, the statements of the Iranian side (including the government and the people), etc. The director and starring Ben Affleck avoided (gu) wonderfully (yi) These politically sensitive topics are briefly discussed. The story begins with a voice-over without any emotion, accompanied by a (pseudo?) documentary of various thugs besieging the US embassy in Iran. The background of the story of rescuing the hostages is explained within five minutes. The focus is on the thrilling rescue operation. So it's not so much a movie with a political background as a CIA agent-style movie with sensitive politics as a stunt. The whole movie unfolds in a highly tense atmosphere, with just the right amount of humor interspersed from time to time, and it is indeed a relaxed Hollywood thriller. It is better to put aside the historical facts for a while and enjoy a thrilling rescue journey brought by the director.
The movie was really depressing and tense, and most of the time I was holding my breath with the characters, terrified of every unknown decision. Has the president approved the rescue plan? Will the entry be blocked? Will the Iranian authorities believe the movie? Will they be executed in disorder for going to the market? When will children in Iran spell out shredded paper, and will it disrupt the original plan? What other obstacles will there be in escaping? Will Canadian embassy couple be implicated? The director puts suspense at every right rhythm point, making people feel that the life of the six hostages is hanging by a thread, and the two-hour film length between the ups and downs does not feel too long.
Another important factor that enriches the film is the addition of entertainment elements. Can you imagine how surprising it would be for a science fiction fan to incorporate science fiction elements into a serious political thriller? When all kinds of rescue plans were rejected, an unreliable and absurd idea - shooting a science fiction movie - became a helpless choice. So the thrilling life-and-death rescue and the Hollywood industry of entertainment are intertwined with seriousness and humor. The darkest humor is that everyone involved in the movie thought it was a real movie, except for the make-up artist and director who knew the inside story. When asked by reporters what ARGO is, the director hurriedly said: Argo fuck yourself, which became the iconic slogan of the operation. The ubiquitous ridicule that they didn't take the movie seriously at all, in stark contrast to the dignified and depressing atmosphere of the movie, became a highlight of the movie. These two veteran Hollywood veterans are also my favorite supporting characters.
The most wonderful scene of this seriousness and wit is a parallel montage of Argo's press conference interspersed with the Iranian press conference. The picture of the warning to the United States is constantly crossing, and then interspersed with the picture of the American hostage being "executed" in Iran, and the two seemingly opposite elements are perfectly unified in the same theme.
But even if the movie is so wonderful, it still can't get rid of the shroud of the main theme halo. At the end of the film, from the ticket collection at the airport to the questioning of the revolutionary army, and then to the airport chasing, the "last minute rescue" that is constantly being staged reminds me of the group of Xiaoqiang who were favored by God in "2012". This is a somewhat deliberate plot. Made me drop a lot. The small emotions that were originally very entertaining have been over-exaggerated personal heroism and the pursuit of adrenaline-inducing tactics, which have been pulled back.
It was not until the end of the film, when a group of pictures that were compared with the real photos and the screenshots of the film came to a peaceful and slow curtain call, that I returned to reality. No matter how out of touch this movie is, after all, this is a real event, the director can play up the dramatic conflict indefinitely, but the hostages are under house arrest, their lives are uncertain, and they are always worried about being executed. Not just in movies. In addition to allowing people to see a glorious American image, this film can also evoke people's resistance to ignorant violence. I hope there will be no more conflicts in this world, and I hope we can see that the United States and Arab countries can really make a science fiction movie in the name of peace.

    1. Argo, Fuck Yourself is homophonic with ah, go fuck yourself. 2. John Goodman is really an old comedian, the two "blushes" on his cheeks look really healthy. He has acted in the films "Murder of Green Toe" and "Barton Funk" by the Coen brothers. 3. The shredder is unreliable and can be spelled out by manpower. 4. The US-Canada friendship was very deep then, now? 5. I saw the ugly Betty and Howard in the six hostages

3.5. Xiaoben is getting more and more talented. Become one of the few actors who can create different roles with distinct personality but not much body language and facial expressions. The film he guided is also very clean and not muddy. The difference is that the script level is average, and the routine is too ordinary.
