A film full of malice. There is a very convincing film critic in the market that the male protagonist was only dispatched to extract the source virus, not to save mankind. Ultimately "died" for falling in love with a virus-free 1996 world. The scientist appeared on the plane in the final shot, grasped the source of the virus by shaking hands with the virus releaser, completed the task for the male protagonist, and let the "violent and hopeless" human beings be destroyed. The two symbols of the film: the underground future of authoritarianism and the chaotic but humane present on the ground compete with each other, and the former wins. The main story of the reincarnation of life can only be regarded as a foil for this rather dark connotation. I have no problem with the design of this movie (even I think it's a pretty cool movie). What I don't like about it is that it's too neurotic. The characters in it are like fleas, making people unable to stop and watch. (Towel City)
