actually two completely separate clues that are rigidly linked together.

It was a complete coincidence that the twelve monkeys acted on the same day as the virus spread. It was impossible for the assistant to know what the twelve monkeys were going to do that day.
Then the movie looks like a long joke.
The important story is only a few minutes at the end.
The circular logic caused by time travel is an old stalk, maybe it was relatively new in 1995.
Also, why did Bruce change the course of history when he was at the airport? It's just a matter of collecting data. Is it because he pulled two teeth? If this has the ability to change the past, then in the future, humans can send a few more people over to have their teeth pulled.

The main thing is what is real. Traveling between two worlds does make one wonder which world is real. The world seems to have an accepted knowledge system and values. Consistent with this knowledge system or values can be considered true.
There are many such so-called truths, such as consumerism, the definition of psychiatry, etc. mentioned in the film.
I think the repressed emotions in the whole film are a style, but I can't appreciate the hasty ending, and the whole thing is lowered by a level.
