What cannot be drained of all wisdom is history, and what cannot be undone by all tears is regret. If you cannot change the past, why not drink a cup of green tea and smell the fragrance of flowers?

Synopsis
In 1996 AD, five billion people died from a deadly bacterial virus , and only a few survived, and these people were forced to live underground.
In 2035 AD, human beings still haven't developed an antidote to fight the virus, but they have developed a method of time travel.
So the scientists sent the prisoner James (Bruce Willis) back to 1996 to find the virus vaccine under the condition of commuting his sentence, but the clue was only the "Twelve Monkey Army" .
Because of the malfunction of the time travel machine, James unexpectedly returned to 1990 by accident, and he was directly detained in a mental hospital without an identity.
In the mental hospital, he meets psychiatrist Riley (Madeline Stowe) , but Riley doesn't believe his story at all.
James said he can only contact scientists in 2035 through a fixed phone number, but that number is only valid for calls from 1996.
Jeffrey (Brad Pitt) , a psychopath with ADHD and mania.
His father was a well-known bacterial scientist who often experimented with bacteria on animals.
Jeffrey sympathized with the animals, so he hated what his father did.
After listening to James' story, he was very excited. He believed that the death of human beings from bacterial viruses was retribution, and he also helped James escape to complete the mission.
But James was drugged into a trance, failed to escape, and was kept in an isolation ward.
Thinking that he had nowhere to escape, he traveled again and returned to 2035.
It turned out that scientists could recall James directly with a tracker that was quietly placed in his teeth .
The scientists told James they received a call from a woman in 1996 mentioning the headquarters of the Army of the Twelve Monkeys in Philadelphia.
James will be teleported again to 1996 to continue the mission.
But because the time travel machine is very immature, he was mistakenly teleported to the First World War and was shot in the leg.
Finally, after many twists and turns, James arrived in 1996, but it was very difficult for him to complete the task alone.
So he thought of Riley, a psychiatrist he met in 1990, who he hoped would convince her of the story.
How can normal people believe that there is such a thing as transmigration? Riley sees James as a runaway mentally ill prisoner, except that she thinks she's seen James long ago.
James had no choice but to coerce Riley to drive him to Philadelphia.
But after finding the headquarters of the Twelve Monkey Army, James was very surprised that the leader of the Twelve Monkey Army turned out to be Jeffrey...
Video Analysis
As a sci-fi film, "Twelve Monkeys" does not rely on hard core to win, but impresses the audience through the presentation of the story structure and the depth of the lines. There are almost no gorgeous scenes and pictures, and no foreign-style action scenes. It relies on Suspense creation and dramatic conflict , such as swamps, slowly make people sink into it, unable to extricate themselves.
The animation at the beginning of the film is very familiar, very similar to Hitchcock's "Vertigo" , as expected, the movie the protagonist watched in the movie theater in the middle of the film is "Vertigo", I think the director is here too. It hints to the audience that the theme the film wants to clarify is similar to "Vertigo", "Fate, Reincarnation" , everything has its causal relationship, and the "cause" that people have been trying to change all the time, has caused the ghosts "fruit" in it .
We can change the future by working hard, but it is impossible to change the past. The experience of the protagonist James in the film is sympathetic, but it has already been determined. As a bystander, all we can do is to cherish everything we have, every time Disasters will cause misfortune to people, and no one can guarantee that bad news will not come to them, we must cherish our lives .
In the film, I seem to see our future. In 2035 AD, the earth was infected by bacteria and viruses. Only animals that can adapt to the environment survive, and we humans can only live underground. Now we are also experiencing an unprecedented big test from the new crown virus . I don’t think anyone could have predicted such a large-scale outbreak in just a few months. This disaster is a disaster for many families. It is fatal, but I hope it can serve as a warning to us humans , otherwise the scenes in the movie may really appear in reality, and I don't want to experience the "wandering earth" in my lifetime .
Another point in the film that impressed me is the interpretation of mental illness. "The minority obeys the majority" is probably the basic principle of society. The views that most people agree with are often considered to be the correct views, while those few people may be rejected. Thought to be "crazy", but sometimes the truth is often in the hands of a few people . Every innovation will be very difficult, because people have become accustomed to staying in the comfort zone and not coming out, and the views that are forced into it will not be recognized, but the process of history is hitting us in the face, and too many things that were not recognized in the past are now a reality , but the scary thing is that even then people still can't remember the lesson.
"The movie is always the same, it doesn't change, but every time I watch it, it feels different because we've changed." Everyone has experienced their own growth and felt their own changes. From time to time, they will express emotions. How could I be like this at that time? It is full of incredible and incomprehensible, but you will still remember when you were happy or sad at that time. , crying, or feeling happiness, living in the moment can make memories better .
Yesterday's madness will surely become the foreshadowing of tomorrow. When people feel the past that they can't change, they inadvertently step into the future that they can't control.
