Benjamin should end up being a 'big baby'

Attempting to write a film review started with "The Ghost Story". I remember very clearly that when I was picking faults with the movie, I wrote such a line, saying that it is unreal that a ghost that can pass through the wall can go upstairs. The teacher said that movies are originally games of light and shadow, so there is no need to dwell on them. After that, watch the movie and really try not to get distracted by those minutiae. However, I am a person with blood type A, and it is a problem in my bones that I am more serious and cannot be completely corrected. No, I wanted to be more serious when I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Although I am well aware that the story is originally fictional, fiction can be made even better.

The fault I think is at the end of the film. Benjamin was born a little old man - the size of a baby + the physical characteristics of old age, and then the size grew a little bit, and the physiology became a little bit younger. According to this gradual process, he should be a big baby at the end of his life - the size of the old age + the physiological characteristics of the baby. But the film made him take it back, and he became a baby through and through. "Science" - haha, it was an unscientific movie at first, and I still talk about science - saying that the disease can be cured, but the person who grows up is a smoker. not going back. This one. Second, babies have a little bit of memory, and in reverse, Benjamin, who gradually entered infancy, will not forget Daisy all of a sudden. It should be more reasonable to forget slowly - I don't think why. Benjamin forgot about Daisy but remembered about his mother's grave, because that's the nitty gritty.

Pointing out these are by no means unscientific, but feel like if the story ends with Benjamin being a big baby and having to struggle between remembering and forgetting at the same time, then when he forgets everything, Daisy is going to be like a grandma Taking care of his grandson is like taking care of his lover, and when he remembers the past, Daisy will love a baby like his lover. If this is the case, will the film have more tension and better show the skills of the actors? Sadly, the film has lost its suspense since Benjamin became a child and turned into a one-man show for Blanchett.

Speaking of actors, I originally liked Blanchett almost as much as I liked Meryl Streep, especially in Notes on Scandal. But in this film, even though she plays very well, I don't think she seems to be the Blanchett that I like, and her expression is always hard, even in Daisy's most mellow moments. Could it be that she couldn't let go of that style because she played the Queen of England? ! Not to mention Pitt, from the beginning to the end, it was almost a silly expression, in comparison, the little old man had more smiles. Just because of his stupid performance, I don't think Benjamin, who doesn't have a big baby, let him play it, maybe it's a waste.

Still, I gave it four stars.

  • Benjamin Button: What if I told you that instead of gettin' older, I was gettin' younger than everybody else?

  • Mr. Daws: Did I ever tell you I was struck by lightning seven times? Once when I was in the field, just tending to my cows:
