Success or Failure

Actors, directors, or even ordinary people are too self awareness, frequently lost in the everlasting doubt of themselves. How do you define yourself, by other people's acclaim, or your own philosophy? How do you value yourself, commercial success or artistic achievement? Actors are vulnerable, living as someone else on stage often seems more realistic. Like Mike, he can only be himself when acting. He knew the feeling of frustration in real life, so he understood Sam. Sam got addicted to drugs because she found herself not that special as her father told her. Perhaps that's why they ended up together. As for the ending, I understand now after watching it the second time. Reagan has been douting himself througout the film and losing faith. After that talk with the critic , birdman, his alter-ego finally takes over and tells him about what people love, about going back to make another blockbuster, so he can reclaim his fame and fortune. His ego is high above people but in reality he is trying so hard to clean shit and make a difference. His whole heart has been put into this play, yet either the critic or the audience wouldn't listen to him. He has to beg people to love him. When he churns out the lines in the last scene, I believe he has become the character and talking about himself. No one loves him, he does not exist. You people want to watch drama, action, and be shocked ? Here you are: he blew his nose off.His whole heart has been put into this play, yet either the critic or the audience wouldn't listen to him. Finally Reagan got what he wanted all along ,the show had turned into a hit and he was back under the spotlight again. Though it's quite diffrent than what he really dreamed of. To some extent, this is the same as his former career. Reagan came to theatre because he didn't want to be difined only as a stupid hero in costume, he wanted to prove himself as a real actor/director. But it's hard to say whether he succeded or not. He indeed proved himself, even the NYT critic, who hated hollywood spoiled celebrity playing in theatre, acknowledged him as a real artist and moved by his so called ignorance. However, the success of the show and the popularity he suddenly gained were, in large part, the result of that gunshot , or the time square video before, or Mike's hard-on, it's the same as his past movies, drawing people's attention.

He was tired.

So he jumped, or became a bird.

Regardless of the boring topic of how the lens is long, this New Yorker-style American middle-class literary middle-aged tune is simply too JB annoying. It is all adrenal hormones that can only be shown by playing hard. It looks like a chicken blood but it is hollow. Nothing, than Nima's French middle-class knowers are even more annoying.

The long shot is too deliberate and a bit disgusting. The first part of the scene made me think that I was watching a soap opera. It was a bit surreal. I understand the philosophy of the movie, but this movie is better for a group of big-name stars to sit and watch. , I can't appreciate it.
