human rationality

I remember the first class in college economics, the professor once said that modern economics can hardly be called a science. The reason is because one of the basic assumptions of economics - the "rational person" assumption is wrong.
In my opinion, HEAT confirms this point very well.
An intelligent and experienced professional gangster, Neil sensed police surveillance from the slightest vibration of his chair. But he did not immediately give up the next action as he said, he did listen to the opinions of his two subordinates. One of his two men is desperate for money in gambling, and the other is an extreme risk-averse lunatic. I believe that as a leading brother, Neil actually did not change his mind and risk his next action because of the persistence of his subordinates. As he and Vincent talked about in the restaurant, Neil himself is an adventurer who hates mediocrity. The so-called Tao is different, and they are not conspiracy. Although Neil looks more prudent and rational than his subordinates, in essence they are all people who can't stand ordinary life and pursue risks and high rewards regardless of the final consequences.
Van Zant is also irrational, even though he seems like a behind-the-scenes think tank. Ironically, the irrational Neils believed that Van Zant would rationally view their robbery of their own securities and cooperate with them from the point of view of being compensated by the insurance company. The result of the fact is that the irrationality of both parties caused a series of tragedies that followed.
Women are always considered sensual animals, and they are no exception in this film. When Edie learns Neil's true identity, she is terrified and desperate to leave him. This is a rational choice. However, she couldn't stand Neil's soft and hard bubbles, and in the end, she still held hands with Neil in a confused way and embarked on an escape journey that should not have belonged to her. Vincent's wife developed irrationality to the extreme. Although she knew that her husband had not been unfaithful to her, she could not bear the fact that he had less time together because of his work. It is understandable that she is dissatisfied with her husband's focus on work and neglect of family. But she tried to sever her relationship with Vincent by committing herself to others. This is a big joke. Although he doesn't have many roles, we can clearly see what an irrational woman looks like through the images of her ex-husband, current husband and daughter.
And in the end, when Neil swerved the steering wheel in the dark and announced that he had given up on his plan to escape directly, I think most of the audience would feel as expected, and at the same time estimated the final outcome. Indeed, this is a movie, but like real life, there is a so-called providence. People are always struggling in the whirlpool of self-struggle until the end.
This is a man's movie, but not a love movie. If there is love, Vincent will not paranoid the capture of prisoners into the whole of life. If there is really love, Neil will wash his hands and lead Edie to a safe and stable life. If there is still a little love, Chris will quit gambling and let his wife and children live a happy life. Although there are seemingly warm family gathering scenes in the film, they can't hide the hypocrisy of each other. Maybe for Neil and his gang, friendship is more.

This is what Steiner watched after he released a full episode of al & robert. It was the first time the two played opposites in the same time and space after the godfather. As a traditional police and bandit movie, the movie is actually quite ordinary. However, in the end, robert left the heroine behind. The HI behavior of escaping for his own life still makes people laugh, which is absolutely in line with the consistent HI behavior of this HI fighter.

I don't like Pacino's performance, and Bell is in the fighter. Why do you have to create a "special type"? Why can't he be a "different" ordinary person like De Niro? Isn’t the character prototype in the tidbits that an American fat man is an ordinary policeman? Doesn’t it have to be restored, but it doesn’t mean that you have to be tuned in every gesture? (20171230 two brush five-star, really every moment is aimed at becoming "immortal" to shoot a masterpiece ah

    Detective Casals: for how long?

Vincent Hanna: seven, eight hours max

  • Eady: [referring to the bank robbery she saw on the news] what'd you do? That was you?

Neil McCauley: that's what I don't do. I don't sell metals, it would've been ok, flight out after, now it's "jammed" we gotta go together

Eady: [terrified and shocked, referring to Donald and Michael] those other people were with you?
