"Transformers": Life Forms and Freedom Rights □ Text / Vulcan Ji No one can easily decide the life and death of others, which is not only reflected in the desire for equality of people as individuals. To put it another way, this is also reflected in the same desire for equality among various life forms. - Vulcan Ji. Inscription.
This movie first represents an infinite nostalgia for childhood memories, and when our memories have begun to blur, when our complex of nostalgia begins to be known to them, memories and nostalgia have actually become an excuse and a reason. I can't imagine how this movie will be made and finally presented in front of our eyes, at least memory is the most important excuse for us to watch the movie; and the creator's investment seems to be just for this reason, because no matter the movie No matter what it looks like, we will also take out our pockets to buy tickets to enter the venue without hesitation. When memories are their resource and our weakness; there doesn't seem to be any doubt about the film's investment. We need to use something to stimulate and recall all the wonderful visions we had in childhood, which is destined to be repeated by them. After "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", this year we ushered in the "Transformers".
The simple and honest giant heroes in the childhood graphic animation were suddenly made into exquisite CGI and put on the big screen, and those graphic heroes suddenly became full. People born in the 1980s, basically the first thing after school is to go home and turn on the TV to watch cartoons, and there must be "Transformers" which is indispensable. However, I have never been a dedicated fan, so as my childhood passed, this cartoon that once made me crazy has gradually become dusty in a certain corner of my memory with the passage of time. This may also be a good thing, with a feeling of infinite softness to memories, other than that I can watch this movie lightly without any burden. If you are a die-hard fan of "Transformers", no matter what the film is made of, there will always be voices of doubt and criticism, because no matter how exquisite the film is, it is impossible to take care of everyone's feelings and aesthetics Standard, the most beautiful can only stay in memory forever, which has also become the biggest and most innocent criticism of this type of film adapted from classic works. The vague memory gave me the only remaining tender emotion, and I emptied all the burdens to watch this movie without burden, which is also destined that I will get the visual pleasure that may be unimaginable for those hardcore fans.
This is definitely a super action and special effects blockbuster in the visual department. From the perspective of screen scheduling, exquisite CGI technology and smooth and unrestrained action design, whether it is Decepticon or Autobot, their transformations and movements are enough to make people shock. It can be said that what I never imagined is that in today's view, those flat animations that may have been called simple King Kong can become so beautiful, and those cold mechanical metals can become so delicate. And no matter how the plot of this movie is arranged, the audio-visual impact alone is enough to make me satisfied with this trip in vain. The relationship between humans and machines has become tense because of a source of fire. The source of fire brought both Decepticons and Autobots to the earth. Decepticons compete for the source of fire in order to dominate the universe. Autobots just wanted to protect the earth and protect the universe. The madness of the Decepticons must be stopped. This is a battle that is endowed with greatness, because Optimus Prime throws out the concept that whether or not humans are as warlike as they are, he still sees the only goodness in humans, and because of this goodness, And for the sake of the rest of the universe, they will fight against the Decepticons to the end. This seemingly simple statement throws out another, more important thought in my opinion, that Transformers as one life form use their perspective to think about human beings in another life form, and then extend to all Life forms, for the Creator, all these life forms, no matter how high or low, whether strong or weak, also enjoy equal rights of freedom. It is not because they are strong that they can arbitrarily decide and choose the future or ending of other life forms.
In my opinion, such an argument basically laid the fundamental theoretical foundation of the film. Also because of such a theoretical basis that is close to the mainstream of modern international thought, the battle in this film is endowed with a great light. From the destruction of a U.S. base in Qatar in the Middle East to the disbandment of the secret military organization "Seventh Defense Zone" at the end of the film, the film also expresses an anti-war strategic thought. It can be said that this is a fighting movie under the banner of anti-war. When the TFs from Cybertron are pondering about our equal rights to freedom as human beings, should those in the Pentagon also ponder whether wars in the Middle East, Afghanistan or Iraq are reasonable and just.
Of course, it might not be entirely satisfactory if we were to demand all kinds of things in this movie. For example, those dazzling TFs in the ultimate PK, basically I have no way to distinguish which of the seemingly similar metal madmen is which. I have a serious aesthetic fatigue from taking turns to play against each other. Perhaps this can be blamed on the film's overly extravagant CGI. When the over-the-top computer effects become proliferating, the original feeling of amazement may no longer seem so surprising. TFs have their inherent role tasks. This is the role that every movie will ask for, and as a human being, it seems to have its own role tasks. What the young hero and heroine want to accomplish is love. When his father bought him his first car for four thousand dollars, and when he met her, their task was to complete the scene that may not be the case. What a romantic love story. Perhaps my favorite scene is the set of the two of them in the room looking for Grandpa's glasses. Parents' worries about their sons, and acknowledging their love for each other and daring to face their parents' reproaches. This group of shots does not seem to be simple, and it is indeed simple, because if only from the lens language, this group of shots is not complicated. However, this group of shots has caused a sudden visual pleasure in the plot. When Mikaela came out of the dark corner, the embarrassment that had been created before was swept away, replaced by Sam's momentary ecstasy and the family's relief.
This is the sweetest scene in the movie. The part of Sam desperately defending the bumblebee also has this kind of warmth, no matter what kind of life form it is, this kind of warmth is always touching.
In this film, for people, it is a love adventure through the flames of war and gunpowder; for TF, it is a battle between justice and evil. For me, this may just be an audio-visual feast brought back from the depths of my memory. Thinking about life forms and freedom and rights is actually a bit redundant. I try to clear all logical thinking as much as possible, as well as clear all kinds of worries, no burden of memory, and indulgence in memory. Watching this movie is a fun experience. And a relaxing viewing experience.
