Definitely one of the weaker entries in the Marvel Movie Universe. The story of The Dark World is one too grand and disconnected that takes away the character relationship us audience have developed over time. Would have preferred a smaller story that further fosters character development. When the movie does try to go small, it uses, short paced, out of place comedy that doesn't feel like it fits anywhere in the film. I think a movie or story like this should be an Avengers story, not a Thor. But then again, if this is one of the many preludes to the next Avenger, how huge could that movie really be? However, as a comic fan I must mention that I love the ending of the film.
