How does it feel to be frightened by a film from 60 years ago?

Watched it at night on a business trip.

A film from more than 60 years ago actually scared me.

The most memorable thing is that the heroine was driving the car, the wipers were on, and the camera was facing her face for about ten minutes. However, in these ten minutes, the plot that happened became voice narration, and there was no sense of disobedience.

In 2014, I watched an American drama, Bates Hotel. It details how the little boy became a murderer, so it may have been set before. But in the end I was still terrified.

"A man's best friend is his mother."

. . . . . .

Good thing I didn't see this movie when I was a kid.

Psycho quotes

  • Norman Bates: She needs *me*. It's not as if is she were a maniac, a raving thing. She just goes - a little mad sometimes. We all go a little mad sometimes. Haven't you?

Marion Crane: Yes. Sometimes just one time can be enough.

  • Milton Arbogast: Now, if this girl, Marion Crane, were here - you wouldn't be hiding her would you?

    Norman Bates: No.

Milton Arbogast: Not even if she paid you?

    Norman Bates: No.

Milton Arbogast: Lets just say, just for the sake of argument, that she wanted you to gallantly protect her, you'd know that you were being used. That you wouldn't be made a fool of, would you?

Norman Bates: Well, I'm not a fool. And I'm not capable of being fooled! Not even by a woman.
