1. In fact, the film is a thesis, the argument is that language can affect cognition, and the argument is all the plot of the film: all non-linear time, aliens and everything are examples. This is a film about cognitive linguistics, semiotics, etc. Friends who learn languages should resonate. It can be regarded as a breath for those who study linguistics: not to mention that linguistics is useless, the critical moment is really indispensable.
2. As far as I know, there are several mistakes in the translation: the keyword palindrome has not been translated, and the last part is translated into apart, which is really embarrassing. The translator's surname Wang seems to be an outsourced translation company. Don't look for this company in the future.
3. Linguists and translators are not the same concept: linguists are people who study languages. They may not know many languages, and they may not necessarily translate well. The translation skills must be solid, but they may not be very knowledgeable about linguistics. The alien language in the movie must be confused, and there will be no systematic research method such as linguists.
