Life and death Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) get everything the 74-time Hunger Games champions get, but their relationship becomes awkward. Nice can't let go of her ex-boyfriend Gail (Liam Hemsworth), and even wants to fly away with him. Katniss and Peeta's growing popularity, coupled with their posing as a couple, angers President Snow (Donald Sutherland), who joins forces with a new game designer (Philip Seymour). Philip Seymour Hoffman (played by Hoffman) launched a 25-year "world-class limited competition", requiring one person from each of the previous men's and women's champions from 12 districts to participate, aiming to kill Katniss. In order to protect Katniss, Peeta takes the place of Black Mic (Woody Harrelson) in the competition, and a pair of "lovers" embark on a journey again. During the event, the two made allies in different districts. At the same time, Peeta continued to show her true feelings to Katniss, and her attitude toward Peeta also changed. Unfortunately, things were not as they imagined, and there was only conspiracy waiting for them.

Katniss Everdeen: I outgrew them.
Finnick Odair: You certainly did. Shame about this quell thing. Now you... you could have made out like a bandit in the Capitol. Jewels, money, anything you wanted.
Katniss Everdeen: Well, I don't like jewels and I have more money than I need, so... What did you do with all your wealth anyway?
Finnick Odair: I haven't dealt in anything as common as money in years.
Katniss Everdeen: Well, then, how do people pay for the pleasure of your company?
Finnick Odair: With secrets. What about you, Girl on Fire? Any secrets worth my time?
Katniss Everdeen: I'm an open book. Everybody always seems to know my secrets before I know them myself.
Finnick Odair: Unfortunately, I think that's true. I'm sorry you had to cancel your wedding. I know how devastating that must be for you. Have a good day.
[Peeta walks up to them]
Finnick Odair: [exiting] Peeta.
Peeta Mellark: Finnick. What'd he want?
Katniss Everdeen: To know all my secrets.
Peeta Mellark: Hm. Have to get in line.
