Compared with the plot, the film is actually more successful in the characterization of the characters. The film shows the inner world of several different characters through a bizarre disappearance case. They are also "imprisoned" by life and become "prisoners" of life. Unhappy work imprisoned the police officer, unhappy fate imprisoned the old lady, and concern for her daughter imprisoned the hero. Many people in the movie became prisoners due to various unhappiness. These people became desperate and impulsive because of their captivity, and eventually some people broke down, some became paranoid, and some even lost their humanity.
This film seems to be about a suspenseful case, but in fact it is about the choice of human nature.
