Suddenly one day I finished reading a story called Arabian Nights. After that, I didn't like reading fairy tale books very much. I usually watch Japanese cartoons.
Why do I like the book Arabian Nights? Looking back now, I think it may be because I often fantasized about adventures when I was a child, and many of them are adventure stories, which are very thrilling. Unlike Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. Because I always feel that it is written more real and exciting than Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales.
Later, after watching Pasolini's One Thousand and One Nights, I suddenly realized that if this storybook was made into a live-action movie, it would be a perverted movie. It's unbelievable that my favorite as a kid was this very perverted fairy tale.
I saw Pan's Labyrinth yesterday and it was confirmed. In fact, fairy tales are not as beautiful as we think. Of course, it is undeniable that the filming can be done well, and the actors are also in place. But I think it's really too real. If it weren't for the two worlds in the film that set off very well, and there is a not so tragic ending. If I were to rate this film, I would not hesitate to give it a very poor rating.
Finally, I do not recommend this inappropriate fairy tale to underage friends. And I tell myself. Fairy tales must not be so real, because fairy tales are fairy tales.
