This is probably the best form of love

I heard a movie many years ago, but unfortunately I haven't watched it. I've just had a little free time to look it up recently. Totally shocked while watching the movie, why should the princess be rescued by monsters and donkeys instead of the prince on a white horse? Why did the beautiful princess turn into a monster in the end? I like this kind of unexpected and the opposite movie, it can always surprise people. Even with its flaws, I think it's much better than movies that fall into the rut but have a perfect plot.
I like the love in the film very much. I don't judge people by their appearance, and they don't take into account the disparity of identities. There is really only pure love between them, without any flaws. Obviously, love in the secular world is difficult to be so noble. The so-called love pursued by men and women in the world is often nothing more than the pursuit of beauty in appearance and glamorous identity. Although I ask myself, I am just a member of the world, but I still think that what Shrek and the princess have is the purest true love. The plot that impressed me the most was that the princess and Shrek were almost at the castle, but they were reluctant to part with each other, so they decided to rest in place for one night to spend more time with each other. It was sunset, they were burning wood to cook, and they looked at each other happily and smiled. The background music plays see the pyramids around the nile... I feel that this is probably the best form of love, we accompany each other, watch the time and the scenery together. The important thing is that I am happy because of you.

    [a fairytale book appears]

Shrek: [narrating] Once upon a time, there was a lovely princess. But she had an enchantment upon her of a fearful sort, which could only be broken by love's first kiss. She was locked away in a castle guarded by a terrible fire-breathing dragon. Many brave knights had attempted to free her from this dreadful prison, but none prevailed. She waited in the dragon's keep, in the highest room of the tallest tower, for her true love, and true love's first kiss.

[tears out a page from the book and shuts it]

Shrek: [laughs] Like THAT's ever gonna happen! What a load of...

[flushes toilet and comes out of the outhouse]

  • Princess Fiona: Where are you going? The exit's over there!

Shrek: [going to save Donkey] Well, I have to save my ass.

Princess Fiona: [shocked] What kind of knight ARE you?

    Shrek: One of a kind.
