The detachment of architecture in reality

"Pan's Labyrinth". I prefer to see him as a film about human nature. Between magic and reality in the smooth exchange of shots, in the fairy tale world and the bloody killing light and shadow, it is difficult for you to decide which is the real and the unreal. The film trance all the common sense of the audience, or use the imperfection of the present world to achieve the perfection in the audience's heart.

Reality and illusion have become doubts and mists entangled in the hearts of the audience in the film atmosphere where the light and shadow are suppressed. Why don't we try to imagine what's going to happen next with the most essential ideas? There is no clear right and wrong. Mexican director Guillermo del Toro is good at making fantasy films, and this film should be regarded as his pinnacle, compared to Harry Potter or Luc Besson's Arthur . is much more profound, this is not an entertainment film.

Magic
The strange and magical world is undoubtedly a sanctuary for Ophelia to avoid reality. A weak mother, a murderous stepfather, and a gloomy and hopeless life is just an accidental elf who brought Ophelia to the god Pan. She actually declared that she is the princess of the underground kingdom. In fact, it is not difficult to guess the result from the introduction at the beginning of the film, but everything has an unusual sense of mystery under the dark color shooting. The image of Pan God seems to be borrowed from Greece, and the haggard appearance is both good and evil, making people unclear about its true intentions. The nanny's foreshadowing in the front has become a lingering stalk in the hearts of the audience. When Ophelia asked about Pan, she replied: The adults told us not to trust Pan so much. In fact, it is also a subtle stroke in the end.

Violence
The violent scenes shown in the film are classic scenes no matter what kind of film they are placed in. The bullet pierces the chest, and the blood is sprayed without exaggeration, which adds to the magical atmosphere. It seems that magic is everywhere. Violence has also become the realistic side of the film and the magic, and the final scene of the officer being shaved with a knife is even more amazing.

Criticism isn't my strong suit, but it's a good movie.

Pan's Labyrinth quotes

  • Mercedes: My mother told me to be wary of fauns.

  • Capitán Vidal: You could have obeyed me!

Doctor: But Captain, to obey - just like that - for obedience's sake... without questioning... That's something only people like you do.
