Ecstasy

Five stars for this movie because of the sound. Music, dubbing, theme song, every sentence is ecstasy, yes, I didn't use the wrong word, it's ecstasy.

The soundtrack of the whole film is very generous. It is never frivolous when it should be deep, and it is never light when it is emotional. Several songs in it are also very well written, especially the Hallelujah, and the duet of Veona and the bird. That little chant.

It was Cameron Diaz who voiced Viona, and I hadn't noticed her voice so good before. She used her voice to express an alternative princess who was both gentle and beautiful and possessed of martial arts (that fight was so cool), a bit like a Jane Austen in temperament. Why can't "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" invite professional voice actors?

I am a person who is particularly sensitive to sound, and this film conquered me with sound. (In order to hear the voice of the princess, I watched it twice.)

There are also a few details I like: Shrek and Veona blew toads and snakes into balloons respectively, hand in hand, the husband and wife both returned their homes; The fiery red lava, to be honest, when I saw it, my feet felt soft, as if I had reached the top of Mount Huangshan again; and Shrek's single dinner; that donkey...

Xiaogui had seen it before, because I was watching this in English class, and I followed it, but I didn't expect it to be so good.

The reason why I got the first episode of the Little Golden Man animation feature is that it created a new selling point for animation spoofs. Most of the time it was Eddie Murphy's talking donkey.

Shrek is org. In the past, people used to write org as the evil devil, but in Shrek, he became a lovely and honest farmer. Although the story uses the template of the frog prince (actually a human princess turns into an orge), it is still worth watching.

  • [looking for a certain type of flower]

Donkey: Blue flower, red thorns. Blue flower, red thorns. Blue flower, red thorns. Man, this would be so much easier if I wasn't COLOR-BLIND!

  • [Donkey thinks he's dying]

The Donkey: Hey, where're you going? Oh man, I can't feel my toes!

    [Looks down and yelps]

The Donkey: I don't have any toes!

    [sits down]

The Donkey: I think I need a hug.
