Build yourself a fairytale castle

Fairy tales, words that are getting farther and farther away from us. With a face of innocence, we used to be so persistent in believing that there were seven cute dwarfs living in the forest, and we were so obsessed with the ending of "they lived happily ever after" in many fairy tales, and we even saw the mermaid turned into a mermaid in front of us. Strings of bubbles... Now, those joys and emotions are gradually blurred, until they are forever locked in dusty memories.

It was not until the ugly, green-skinned guy came into our sight that we suddenly realized that happiness can be so simple. Yes, he is Shrek the monster.

This is a fairy tale that subverts the tradition, so Shrek doesn't have a handsome face, handsome swordsmanship, and at the end, he did not forget to let the beautiful princess freeze in a freckled image.

People called him a monster, he hated people's strange eyes, so he lived a closed and contented life in a simple hut in the jungle. He bathes in the swamp and eats some strange food. He is sloppy and lonely, but it doesn't affect his happiness in the slightest. Isn't a few candles a warm feeling? We also accompany him to immerse himself in no worldly happiness.

One day, a group of fairy tale characters completely shattered his tranquility and ease. He had to take a talking donkey on the journey to seek an explanation from Master Ke.

The camera turns to an old castle. The conversation between Master Fake and the magic mirror is somewhat familiar, and the three stunning women—Cinderella, Snow White, and Princess Fiora take turns appearing. The lights are constantly changing, and the commentary is so contagious that I have to think of a fiercely contested beauty pageant. When Lord Fake's eyes were fixed on Fiora, how to save Fiora from the fire-breathing dragon became a difficult problem.

At this moment, Shrek and Donkey had already broken into the Doula Kingdom. I especially like the cleanliness and elegance of the Dura Kingdom, which was my childhood dream: wide streets, lazy sunshine, clouds drifting across the sky... If you still have a little curiosity, then you must be Will, like me, have endless guesses about that mysterious button.

I thought so, and the donkey was already in action. When the little wooden door suddenly opened, I couldn't help but marvel at the ingenious conception. A group of cute puppets open their mouths and tell you with beautiful music: take care of flowers and trees, don't litter. Originally a boring and boring dogma, through the interpretation of this childish voice, becomes full of sweetness and warmth. The wooden door closed, and a photo fell out, recording the exaggerated expressions of Donkey and Shrek. My friends and the donkey almost said in unison: "One more time." The

arena is undergoing a fierce competition, and the winner will rescue Princess Fiora on behalf of Lord Fake. Shrek and Donkey collided and won with tacit cooperation, interspersed with some wise humor. Lord Fake promises that as long as the princess is rescued, Shrek will be able to return to a peaceful life.

As they walked through the dense cornfields, the donkey sang all the way. Shrek made a point that I didn't expect: Yokai, like onions, have layers. But Donkey still couldn't understand it, and kept asking, "Do monsters make people cry?" At that moment, I felt a little sympathetic to Shrek. In fact, he has always been kind, so he would rather be alone than destroy the peace of others. In the dead of night, he also had only the faint fire to snuggle. How difficult it is to be a leveled monster.

When they reached the castle that kept Fiora, the donkey timid. Under the high suspension bridge are billowing flames, if you are not careful, you will fall into the abyss and disappear forever. They finally overcame many difficulties and found the princess. But Fiora was reluctant to leave. In her imagination, the handsome one actually defeated the fire-breathing dragon, left an affectionate kiss on her lips, and led her to live a happy life. In reality, Shrek under his armor was nothing but the monster everyone feared, the fire-breathing dragon unscathed and hopelessly in love with the talkative donkey.

Perhaps, this is closer to our life, no absolute perfect victory, but more real and kind. This seems to be a small satire on traditional fairy tales.

Monsters, donkeys, princesses, what a weird combination, but I felt so romantic when they went back to Dora together. Fiora competes with the bird for a high pitch, and the bird turns into a bulging ball and blows up; Fiora beats the three hooligans to pieces; Shrek roasts voles for Fiora... Love grows unknowingly. Instead of flowers and chocolate, they used snakes and toads to blow up a balloon for each other. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the pure and almost transparent love moved me.

After the sun went down, Fiora hid in a dilapidated wooden house, and she was cursed by a witch to become bloated and freckled after dark. Shrek was holding the flowers, but he didn't dare to knock on the door, and even mistakenly thought that Fiora hated his ugliness. Under the brilliant afterglow, Shrek was deeply hurt. This layered monster is really hurt.

Shrek finally came to the Doula Kingdom under the persuasion of the donkey. When the bright sunshine gradually dissipated, Fiora became ugly. Everyone uttered contemptuous voices, but Shrek and Fiora kissed affectionately.

The movie ends.

Friends say why should Fiora end up at such an ugly time. See, human desires are always endless. We are always striving for absolute perfection, so happiness always feels so out of reach. Even if we have to interfere in other people's lives, why haven't we seen Shrek complaining that his bride is not beautiful?

Shrek quotes

  • Shrek: Thank you, thank you very much. I'm here 'til Thursday. Try the veal.

  • Donkey: Okay, let me get this straight: you gonna go fight a dragon and rescue a princess just so Farquaad'll give you back your swamp, which you only don't have 'cause he filled it full of freaks in the first place. Is that about right?

Shrek: You know what? Maybe there's a good reason donkeys shouldn't talk.
