1. Alien looks weird as always, but because the plot gives them a simple and kind heart, I think they are still very cute. But most of Alien is dumbfounded in the movie. The director who endowed more humanity with more cuteness is Dad and little ALien.
2. There are good guys and bad guys in every movie. Alien is a good guy, and the red face is naturally a human being to sing. For the fear and rejection of alien creatures, there is a sentence: prejudice comes from ignorance. There are always many things in the world that are beyond the scope of our intelligence. These things exceed the comfort zone and learning zone in psychology, and reach the fear zone of human psychology. Whether for self-protection or whatever, people will always show disgust and discrimination against these things. In fact, in addition to malicious discrimination, we can also be more patient and loving to understand. If so, there might be a lot less fighting and killing in the world.
In addition to the discrimination and rejection of aliens, I feel even more pitiful for the disrespect and pursuit of my own person (the male protagonist who was infected by alien creatures and later turned into ALien). Deception, torture, endless and unreasonable use of weapons, and tossing as inhumane as possible. I feel that in the world of human beings, only interests are paramount, and they strive to be the strongest and most brutal person or group in the world of the weak. In this regard, there is no difference between the humans in the movie and any species in the animal world.
3. There is also a very interesting group of people in the movie, which is a Nigerian bandit gang stationed in District 9. Personally, I think the director uses them to represent a group of people who have not been occupied by modern civilization, and people who are still immersed in the worship of totems and mysterious religions. They think that if you eat aliens, you can be as powerful as aliens (Alien in the movie is dumb, but his weapons are super powerful). So after discovering that the poor male protagonist had become Alien, he began to hunt and kill him many times just like the goblins in Journey to the West vying to eat Tang Monk's meat.
I didn't realize it when I watched it, but now I think about it, these two groups of people (modern and bandit gangs) are also a very clever contrast. At the height of morality and humanity, education and culture seem to have no distinction whatsoever. As long as it is a human being, the fundamental attributes are still the same. Driven by profit, driven by inner fear and insecurity.
4. The male lead is the fullest character in the film, a very cute man, as can be seen from the kindness and curiosity he showed to Alien when he went to check out District 9. Also, I love my wife very much. After I became Prawn, my only thought was to change back quickly and live a peaceful life with my wife.
