I didn't even realize that it was the famous ninth district, so I changed the channel. I have OCD. But when I tuned in again, my eyes never left. Even if the picture is rough, and it is an extensive documentary style, it is still deeply shocked.
As an appearance control, of course I have no interest in the appearance of prawns, and even have an instinctive rejection. But as the story progresses, my emotional and value scales have shifted to the prawns.
Especially seeing the prawn protect his son on the spaceship, promising to heal the sickness of Vicus, the half-prawn man. I see something called ethics shining in the dark and cluttered picture.
Ethics brings order, and this order is cross-species. So, in this kind of alien or vampire subject matter, the one who has a complete ethical system is good, no matter what the name of the species exists.

The background music of the movie is very similar to "The Mist", and the desolation and sadness are expansive, like the coming of Judgment Day. "The Mist" is also a movie with mutant species, but the scale of emotion and value is completely different from "District 9", the former is human, the latter is alien.
