director Ridley Scott, by the looks of it, is a killer.
The old man had disheveled hair, unshaven beard, and raised folds on both sides of his mouth, like a Shar Pei. His life's triumphs and disappointments seemed to pile up in the corners of his eyes. His eyes were cloudy and complicated, anger mixed with pity, tired but unyielding.
There are two kinds of directors, one is watering and the other is drilling.
The director who sprinkles water, the ground is wet after the rain, like a puppy urinating. After the smell evaporates, it becomes silent and odorless. The director of the drilling has a strong chest, and he must take heavy shots. With the sharp weapon of skill and the depth of thinking, a well is drilled, the water is trickling, and the spring is continuous. After decades, the younger generations can still be sheltered by it.
Ridley Scott's greatest achievement is to drill two wells, one is "Alien" and the other is "Blade Runner".
The Alien series of films, like the Whampoa Military Academy directed by geniuses, was pioneered by "Principal" Ridley. James Cameron, David Fincher, and Jean-Pierre Genet have all played their part in this series. Blade Runner is a slow-burning type. The film came out in 1982, and more than 30 years later, there was a sequel, "Blade Runner 2049".

Movies are illusions, parasitic on large and small screens. When people watch movies, they are actually watching themselves.
Although the two "Blade Runners" are future stories, the material is all in history.
In the movie, Replicants are used as slaves to develop alien colonies. The reality that this illusion corresponds to is actually the black slave trade in history, where replicators correspond to black slaves, and alien colonies correspond to the New World of America.
Things that are essentially the same, through the hands of writers and directors, put on a sci-fi coat, and a sound and light return, the old stories have become the new classics of extreme audio-visual entertainment. Hipster sci-fi fan, mouth shut, steampunk, cyberpunk. In fact, it's just a text barrier.
The interpretation of "Blade Runner" has been exhausted. An illusory body was displayed on the booth, with spotlights flickering on all sides. Various film critics showed their stunts. It was also a time line calculation, and a textual research on the year of birth and death.
The damp and gorgeous apocalyptic setting reflects the dejected mood of human beings. Behind the ruins, there are world-weary faces. Ridley is of course pessimistic. The earth is tired of staying, and it can't stay there, and the colonization of outer space that looks beautiful often leads to disaster.
In "Alien: Covenant", human beings who are lucky enough to land on an unknown planet in a spaceship, there are mountains and waters on the planet, they think they have found a beautiful new world, but in fact they fall into the alien's lair and become a victim hunting target.
In "Blade Runner", the old model clones have excellent abilities, but their lifespan is only four years, as if Lao Tzu's "hidden and sharp, can not be guaranteed for a long time". And the constantly updated technology will eventually break the prophecy of the sages. The new model is a replica, with a long lifespan and delicate feelings, which is different from human beings.
Since it is similar to humans, resistance is instinct. After the mutiny of the alien colony, the human guns turned inward, and a special action team was established to kill replicators. The name was Blade Runner. Row.
The paradox is that the so-called blade runner is actually a replicator. There is no limit to the depravity and cruelty of human beings by using poison to fight poison, and using barbarians to control barbarians.
In "Blade Runner", the replicant Roy, in order to prolong his life, found Dr. Tyrrell, and was told that there was no cure. In desperation, Roy used his hands to cut out the doctor's eyeballs. "Alien: Covenant", the robot David, said to the scientist who made him, you are my father, I will serve you, but you are human, you will die, and I will not. After listening to David's statement, the scientist's expression was dejected and extremely uncomfortable.
These two scenes are very interesting. Humans and replicators (robots) have different offensive and defensive potentials due to different survival times.
Replicants resist human beings, David wants to kill his father, and the ancient Greek Oedipus' patriarchy complex has been staged again and again in the imaginary future.
The patriarchal complex runs through "Blade Runner" and "Alien" (Contract, Prometheus), which is the same between the two; replicants are not much different from humans, and humans have contempt for replicants. There is envy and sympathy. It can be said that the five flavors are mixed, while the alien is a pure other. For aliens, humans have only fear, which is the difference between the two.

To distinguish humans from replicants, empathy tests can be performed. The test in the movie is similar to a quiz game. The tester asks questions and then observes. Various indicators include blushing response, pupil fluctuation, and iris enlargement.
After watching Blade Runner, I was basically certain that I belonged to a human being. Watching current films and reminiscing about the past is also a kind of empathy. The blade runners in the movie, Deckard and K, are injected with false memories, dark and unclear, reverse dreams, and recognize that a foreign country is home.
I think my memories are not always false.
I like the set in the movie, the post-industrial age, the steel forest, the gray sky, the thick fog, the dark street, the endless rain, the vehicles rushing through like wind and lightning, and the neon advertisements like wild beasts and ghosts. These pictures seem familiar. The city of childhood was once so cloudy and rainy. Three or five teenagers walked through the neon flashing streets, comic shops, and game halls. The happiness didn't know the time, and it became a waste in a blink of an eye.
Harrison Ford in the first film is quite satisfactory, not as energetic as he was in "Air Force One". The replica Rachel, whose appearance is a little scary, the shoulder pads are too exaggerated, and they are wide enough to walk. K in the second part, with a bad face, lacks the aura of a killer, and is more like an otaku who only likes two-dimensional virtual girlfriends.
For the glory of the creator (human beings), how can we not be lost by killing the outdated kind (replicants)? Although the killer has silver wings, he cannot fly to the other side.
The times are changing, the past years have gone out, and we who are still walking here need not tangle too much. Killing yesterday's self with today's self has long since become a habit.
On a rainy day, get out the door and be a sad blade runner.
