The story takes place in a slum in Brazil, the city of God. Here, the closer you get to the underlying reality, where there are no rules and no controls, the closer society is to human nature. Human greed, unending desire, guiltless killing, rape, false friendship and love. No rules or affection. The Law of the Jungle is on display.
Children who grew up in slums were exposed to violence and killings and were bullied. When it's too big, a cycle of revenge and a new cycle of oppression begins. Endless sins breed and grow in this environment. Sin has become the best means of obtaining wealth, beliefs and values have begun to collapse, and hope has been cast in the shadows.
There are still a few people who still have hope in education, they are the understanding people at the bottom. And how difficult it is to break away from the heavy shackles and leave the bottom layer. But there is yearning in the heart, and the light of hope exists.
