"Black Swan"

Darren Aronofsky's most "peaceful" film to date in my opinion, the first half feels like a clichéd melodrama, the second half is a little chaotic, and that stuff isn't really new. , but he mixed all its major expressions together: the split relationship between the characters, the installation art, the realization of the mental state, the endless dismemberment of desire. You can say that it was a pretense before, but the changes in the hero's mental state were too real. I personally think Darren should be more imaginative, so I prefer "Pi" and "Requiem for Dreams" written by him. ""Cherish the Fountain".

Natalie Portman is really enlightened. She has unprecedented vulnerability and sensitivity, and she is more comfortable than "Stealing Heart". I was particularly impressed with the scene where she sat in front of Beth's mirror and stole lipstick from the drawer not long after the opening scene. Her performance is serious when she's focused, but I'd much rather see her act like a physical neurotic, her self-control is too heavy, just like what Thomas repeatedly mentions to Nina in the film is lacking. But there are reasons to expect more from her in the future.

On the other hand, from a professional point of view, her dancing lacks the quality she should have, so whenever she dances, it makes people playful, especially the stiffness of her upper body. Luckily Darren's camera moves in a variety of ways, trying to find the tension that her beauty and face can bring.

Black Swan quotes

  • Thomas Leroy: Thank you, Nina! It's very nice. It's very nice, but I knew the white swan wouldn't be your problem. The real work would be your metamorphosis into her evil twin. I know I saw a flash of her yesterday, so get ready to give me more of that bite.

  • Thomas Leroy: What's going on?

Nina: [crying] Lily! You made her my alternate?

Thomas Leroy: Well there's always an alternate. Lily is the best choice.

Nina: No, but she wants my role.

Thomas Leroy: Every dancer in the world wants your role.

Nina: No, this is different. She's after me. She's trying to replace me!

    Thomas Leroy: Nobody's after you.

Nina: [crying harder] No, please believe me!
