From wild to wild

On March 23, 2016, I went to the theater to watch the long-awaited movie "The Revenant". Not because of Leonardo, although I think he's good, but I'm not a fan of him, nor because of the Oscar-winning movie, but because of the content of the movie. I've always been interested in adventure movies, in wilderness survival. Because a long time ago, when I was a teenager, I thought it was easier for me to get used to the natural environment, but it was difficult to get used to the social environment. In nature, it can be calm, but in the crowd, it will feel uncomfortable and tired. Of course, this is not entirely my problem, because the natural world, although cruel, is far more beautiful and purer than the human world.

It is not so much a revenge movie as a movie about how to survive in a desperate situation, transcending nature and self. When watching the movie, I feel that some revenge still has to be avenged, and the greed and ugliness of human nature cannot be tolerated. But it's best to seek revenge immediately, and you will die or die together. In a desperate situation, hatred or the nostalgia and love for the dead will give people the faith and strength to live. But the revenge of the ten years is not too late, and the whole life is involved. It is too pointless to live for this goal, and life loses its meaning. Better to forget. So Glass finally said that the sword of vengeance is in the hands of God.

It hates the kind of people who say thank you for hurting you, they make you mature. For me, there is no thanks, but no hatred either. Because hatred always associates people with ugly things and wastes time. And in reality, there is no special harm, just some things that make you slow down. Those who hold grudges and seek revenge for a wrong sentence are really pathetic and pathetic.

Leonardo DiCaprio really used his life to act in movies! He was beaten to death by chest attack in the forest, and then his son was killed, and then abandoned on the snow. With tenacious will, wild survival skills, and hatred, he finally returned to the camp, and then went to chase and kill the enemy. That is, dying in the snow and finally not dying, two and a half long hours, and gun battles, close-quarters combat. Some people say he's using too much force, but I think he'll die if he doesn't force himself in such a wilderness! He didn't work so hard to win the prize, but the cruel environment, the threat of hatred and death forced him to work so hard, otherwise, he probably wouldn't be able to survive.

Before watching the movie, I knew it was bloody, monotonous and depressing, but I could bear it. But there are really amazing one or two scenes. The first is Glass being attacked by a bear. That scene was too real and too long to be filmed. It was horrible and bloody. Later, he was chased and killed and rolled down the snowy mountain with the horse. When he woke up, he found that the horse had been shot and died. He cut open the horse's belly and cut it along the shell, and took out a big bag of internal organs. Then take off his clothes and climb into the horse's stomach to keep out the cold. It is also very real, very realistic internal organs, making people look at a very uncomfortable scene. I don't seem to see it clearly, otherwise the discomfort cannot be quickly removed, and there will be sequelae. I think those who are keen on Korean dramas, and those who like small fresh meat, don't watch this kind of bloody, violent, and barbaric savages. They will be frightened, maybe they can't eat meat for a few days, even small fresh meat will make them nauseous.

When he stepped into the horse's belly with one leg, put the other leg in, and then retracted his head, and closed the shell, I felt the horse's belly closed like a huge eye, and it closed too. eyelashes, because horses have fur. That whole scene and the thought that came up in my head involuntarily made me unbearable and a little nauseated. I don't know if there is a second person who feels that the horse's belly is closed like a huge eye, it's probably unique.

In addition to the movies that like adventure and survival in the wilderness, I first watched this movie especially for the soundtrack of Ryuichi Sakamoto, but I forgot about it when I started watching it. Later, when the music of a certain scene is played, the words of May Saten suddenly come to mind: If one concentrates on looking at a flower, a stone, a tree, grass, snow, a floating cloud, then the enlightening thing will be occur. I only remembered him at that time, because the previous forgetting was because I was too focused on the movie, and his music was too tacit with the scene. Later, I felt that the plot, mood, environment and music were integrated many times, and I realized that I watched an interview with Long Yi about the soundtrack of this film. He said that the film itself convinced him, so he decided to make the soundtrack for it. At that time, he was recuperating due to illness. Not going to start work.

In the interview, he said that he likes to soundtrack electronic music: For movies, I always look forward to and long for inspiration. I don't get that thrill, challenge, or inspiration when I'm working on my own album. Making your own music is a very personal thing, in a closed world. Basically, it's just me, and I have to enlighten myself; I have to do everything by myself. I'm not a musician, I'm a composer, someone who writes things. Maybe the musicians get their inspiration from working with an orchestra, or something - maybe it's like I do film scores, dealing with a lot of people and receiving a lot of opinions and ideas. Along with inspiration, naturally comes pressure. But I don't do that when I'm doing my own records. Scoring a movie is like an unknown journey.

Sakamoto Ryuichi also said: "If I think too much, or watch too much news on TV, maybe I will get cancer again. I try to make myself think less about these political things, or the future of mankind, Because that really frustrated me." His words reminded me of how I was able to adapt to the natural environment quickly, but I couldn't integrate into the social environment, but was always out of place. An environment that requires people to give up their nature and become hypocritical to fight is really tiresome. The cruel living environment in the wild, although it is also very sinister, is not the sinister of the human heart. The harsh environment will make people afraid, but it will also stimulate people's potential, a strong belief in life, and the threat of death. Be tenacious and never give up unless absolutely necessary.

There is no food to wrap the belly in the wilderness, no house to shelter from the wind and rain, there are only severe weather, natural disasters, and beast attacks, and there is no way to a safe place. In the process of that struggle, it may inspire human beings The animal side, but not very ugly, so I prefer to see this kind of struggle between human beings and nature and themselves. But sometimes human beings can walk out of the wild where wild beasts are infested and finally reach the smooth road laid by human beings, but they cannot continue on the road of human communication. So it is nothing more than passing from one wilderness to another. The law of nature is natural selection, the survival of the fittest, and human society has already become a more cruel world than the natural world. Humans are a species with a higher IQ than other animals, and will naturally exert that ability to unimaginable levels.
