Tone, Composition and Lens Aesthetics at The Grand Budapest Hotel

This is a movie that makes me feel very comfortable.
The first was its unusual shades of pink and blue, which attracted me from the beginning, and it turns out that movies can have such colors. In addition, some of the pictures are very color shocking, it is hard to imagine that so many colors can be blended in this way

Then you will find that the beauty of architectural graphics is preserved everywhere in the film, the rules are rigorous and aesthetics are not lost, and the characters are placed in it as if they are the characters created by this scene. Symmetry and parallelism are everywhere in the picture

In addition to the strong cut, the biggest feature of the scene switching method is to use the lens to move 90° or 180°, giving people the feeling of being cut into a flat and neat cube without a trace of error.
The film's soundtrack is also very lighthearted, giving the story a witty and humorous feel, with characters like dolls from Super Mario.

As for the storyline, although I generally understand the context of the story, I don't quite understand the meaning of the reveal. It seems that I don't understand a little bit until the narration of the elderly Ji Rui at the end of the film.

However, this is a movie that will be rewatched. Next time, let's appreciate the plot.

The eyes are full of Webster's style, and the ears are all Alexandre Desplat. The whole scene is a joyful movie-watching experience with shaking brains and feet.

The exciting colors, the unique characters, the tempo of the rapid movement of the camera taking off, the unstoppable coolness and praise. For such a director, no matter how subtle the role, the actor will be willing to accept it, because the most subtle role also has enough personality for the audience to remember.
