Maybe it's because of watching it on the computer, it's less shocking and more tired; but, thinking back then, the "Sin City" was also watched on the computer, why can't you be calm all day...
Frank Miller is right It can be seen that there is a lot of participation in this film, otherwise the spirit of the original painting would not be so vivid, but this time, I just couldn't be shocked. The whole movie gave me a very "separated" feeling. I was never able to be brought into that bloody battle. Everyone was so absolute, absolutely evil, absolutely righteous, absolutely brave, and absolutely cowardly... …are these people still “people”? The narrative of the story is straightforward, without suspense or climax, much like a text in a history book!
As for the most anticipated selling point of the movie: restoring the comics to the greatest extent in the image, I can no longer be excited, because in "sin city", my eyes have been opened. And, just thinking that these warriors, these killings, were all performed in front of a blue screen, I was a little discouraged, like watching a play in a small theater with a fancy hand-painted background board behind it.
Maybe, this is really just a movie that expresses the aesthetics of violence, which is not suitable for a woman like me.
