On November 22, 2015, I just finished reading the novel. Mark as want to see. Comments are: Points to
watch: 1. Is the narrative angle the first or the third, and if the latter is the case, how is the comical style of self-deprecation in the novel reflected in the movie? 2 In terms of plot choices, the arrangement of scenes for self-survival and team rescue, especially the content is similar to "Gravity", can a one-man show be more brilliant? 3 Can the visual spectacle reach "Gravity" and "Interstellar", and can the theme song surpass "gravity"? 4 Watched Lewis perform.

06 Jan 16 Yesterday, I just finished watching the movie. Mark 3 stars seen.
1. The third-person narrative, the humorous style is mainly focused on Matt Damon on Mars, and the effect is very general compared to the novel. 2. In the plot, making potatoes, destroying plants by accidental explosion, going to craters, and team rescue are all important. Some theories of explanation are almost deleted, and the choice is right. Compared with the one-man show of "Gravity", this one-man show is of average weight, with only a few inner dramas. 3. I don't know the visual effects from the computer, but it should be possible to achieve a certain height when watching the storm and space rescue. 4. The soundtrack is very frustrating.

The Martian quotes

  • [first lines]

Melissa Lewis: All right team, stay in sight of each other. Let's make NASA proud today.

Rick Martinez: How's it looking over there, Watney?

Mark Watney: Well, you will be happy to hear that in Grid Section 14-28, the particles were predominately coarse but in 29, they're much finer and they should be ideal for chem analysis.

Rick Martinez: Oh, wow. Did everybody hear that? Mark just discovered dirt.

    [laughs]

Rick Martinez: Should we alert the media?

  • Bruce Ng: Mars' atmosphere is so thin, by the time the ship's going fast enough for air resistance to matter, it'll be high enough that there's practically no air.

Vincent Kapoor: You want to send him into space under a tarp?

Bruce Ng: Yes... Can I go on?

    Vincent Kapoor: [frustrated look] NO.
