This NASA commercial tells us how important luck is!

Before starting the text, I can't help but want to sigh that November is really a magical month for the Chinese film market. Basically, the films with the most explosive visual effects in a year will be placed in this month:
November 22, 2012 " The Fantastic Drifting of Pi's
"Gravity" on November 19,
2013 "Interstellar" on November 12, 2014
"The Martian" on November 25, 2015,
especially the three space Film... Nima did it on purpose? !

------------------------------------- The dividing line at the beginning of the Tucao------- -----------------------------------
Let's get down to business, in general, this movie is a movie viewing experience in general It's very good. From the very beginning (not so scientific*) of the Martian storm to the last docking, the tension is well mobilized, and the rhythm is relaxed and there is no urine point throughout. The visual aspect is also quite abundant (including the bleeding point of scurvy caused by the lack of VC in the later stage), and it has achieved a high degree of restoration of the hard sci-fi setting, which is remarkable.

There is a very important fact that I think many people may know, that is, this film has received strong support from NASA! The reason is that NASA is actually planning to send people to Mars in 2030, hoping to accumulate a little public opinion through this film so that the government can invest more money.

Wait, you're saying, NASA really thinks it's going to win people over with this film? ! Why?
1. By hiring "Saturday Night Live" veteran Kristen Wiig as head of PR?

2. With Jeff Daniels, who has hired a senior journalist from "Newsroom", knows PR but doesn't seem to know much about technology, and has repeatedly wanted to calm down, Jeff Daniels is the head of NASA? !

3. With the spirit of being able to dare to fight for RP? Forced to shoot with a 5% chance of failure? Is the most critical interception operation really "manual"? Do you believe that a few broken ribs can be recovered in a short period of time? Or is it with the dual blessings of Shiva and Christ?
I bet this film will be considered high-end black if I put it in the background.

Even so, I want to say even so, even if I know that Matt Damon will be rescued, even if this is a standard Hollywood template, even if the soundtrack is not as direct as "Interstellar", and the camera performance is not as intense as "Earth". Gravity" is so impactful, even if it's dark and cute, NASA! I still like this film, not because of how touching and funny it is, and how hopeful the plot is, but because it uses a very Hollywood way to constantly solve the problems that arise, and it shows the power of science in detail and interestingly .

Finally, I can't help but want to make the ultimate big spoiler!

Sean Bean, the only Bento in the Fellowship of the Ring squad in The Lord of the Rings "Meeting of Elrond"

Sean Bean is not dead in this movie.

*Note: In fact, because the atmosphere on Mars is thin, even if the wind speed is high, the wind pressure will not be so great for the aircraft. Interestingly, he finally took advantage of the thinness of the atmosphere by having him remove the top of the return capsule. Have you ever considered the feeling of the Martian atmosphere?

The Martian quotes

  • [first lines]

Melissa Lewis: All right team, stay in sight of each other. Let's make NASA proud today.

Rick Martinez: How's it looking over there, Watney?

Mark Watney: Well, you will be happy to hear that in Grid Section 14-28, the particles were predominately coarse but in 29, they're much finer and they should be ideal for chem analysis.

Rick Martinez: Oh, wow. Did everybody hear that? Mark just discovered dirt.

    [laughs]

Rick Martinez: Should we alert the media?

  • Bruce Ng: Mars' atmosphere is so thin, by the time the ship's going fast enough for air resistance to matter, it'll be high enough that there's practically no air.

Vincent Kapoor: You want to send him into space under a tarp?

Bruce Ng: Yes... Can I go on?

    Vincent Kapoor: [frustrated look] NO.
