movies that I absolutely recommend. Absolutely heart-wrenching. Reminds me of "The Disciples" I watched recently. About drugs, about psychedelics, about emptiness, about pain.
Not only the youth, but also the elderly are inhibited by the hallucinations of emptiness. Harry's mother's madness out of control, Harry's girlfriend's helplessness, Harry's own pain. The suffocated pupils dilated rapidly during the repeated drug injection process. All four of them are walking towards a more painful abyss step by step.
Harry also yearns for a better life, a good marriage and the comfort of his mother. But in the world controlled by drugs and psychedelics, none of them have the ability to break free. The helplessness of life itself allows them to use drugs to win a relaxed or fantasy mood again and again, but the harm of drugs itself can erode their already struggling lives. The psychedelics are getting heavier and heavier, the mind is getting blurry, the wounds are getting worse, the heart is getting more and more desperate, and finally, everyone is swallowed by despair.
The treatment my mother received in the hospital was even a bit inhumane, and her girlfriend's expectations were disillusioned in tears.
They are too painful. Rely on the drug to get the phantom, and then in the phantom pain or madness. However, the phantom will eventually be shattered. despair. What's more breathless than seeing hope?
Instead of educating you about how terrifying drug addicts are when they take drugs (Zhang Jingchu's performance is horrifying enough), it shows you their love. They love each other so much, yet they are still so helpless. The movie hits you with a sense of desperation and pain that is stronger than your body.
Some say the film is heartbreaking. Extremely heartache.
