What made Nash? From the origin, it may be his loneliness and paranoia, and without the tolerance and support of relatives, friends and society, he would not have the conditions to continue working, and he would not have stepped onto the podium of the Nobel Prize in Economics.
I was convinced that character determines fate, and when I lamented Nash's success, I couldn't help but think of Van Gogh, a paranoid wizard who also suffered from schizophrenia. But their life circumstances are worlds apart. When he was young, he was world-renowned, his wife never left, and when he was old, he stepped onto the podium of the Nobel Prize in Economics. Another one sold only one painting before his death. Although the price of the painting soared after his death, it can only prove how tragic his life was.
Why are their circumstances so different?
Is it because one is a scholar and the other is an artist? Or because they grew up in different countries? Or because the society has made progress after a lapse of many years?
Whatever the reason, for thin individuals, their lives are like a gulf between joys and sorrows.
Division is only a ailment of a few people, but it seems to be an innate trait of society. Nash and Van Gogh, one makes people feel the warmth of never abandoning them, while the other reminds people to stay awake, and the ruthless ruthlessness of society is enough to drive people to desperation.
In the unpredictable journey, whether it is cold or warm, the traveler knows it.
