At those crossroads, there are road signs that guide the direction of the mind; those hesitations and entanglements are signs of the right choice of the mind.

In my mind, the scene of the old John Nash giving his acceptance speech in the splendid auditorium still lingers under the gaze of thousands of eyes and cameras. "Only in this mysterious love equation can logic or reason be found. It's all your credit that I'm here tonight, you're the factor and only factor in my success. Thank you!" Romantic thanks. At the Nobel Prize ceremony, now Nash is no longer as isolated and eccentric as he used to be. He is a kind, loving old man who is slowly talking to his partner who has been with him all his life. It seems that after struggling with all kinds of bizarre mathematical problems for a lifetime, he finally found the true meaning of life. Not the proof of the proposition, but the attribution of the mind. At this moment, Alicia is also gray-haired, and her face is full of excitement. Thinking of John's behavior when they first met, John seems to be a different person now. Nash, who has never confessed his love to Alicia, is like an idiot to love, but he said such affectionate sentences to her like a poet on the stage. Half a century of perseverance, half the world's patient waiting, finally has meaning at this moment.

Maybe God is really jealous of the genius, John Nash, who has extraordinary mathematical talent, and is extremely lacking in interpersonal skills. And he suffered from schizophrenia as soon as he got his academic grades. But God was also fair, or John was lucky too. He meets Alicia, who is just as eccentric as he is. I don't know why Alicia is so obsessed with John, maybe as the movie says, everyone's aesthetic orientation is different. Soon after their marriage, John began to become increasingly dysfunctional and ended up in a mental hospital. Alicia took care of him without complaint, waiting for him, quietly waiting for this crazy genius. Beautiful Alicia wears an apron, cooks, washes dishes, and takes care of the children. John was like a crippled cripple, unable to help, not even a warm word. It's hard to imagine how Alicia has survived this half-century worse with a partner by her side than without. She really has a beautiful heart, so beautiful that it even hurts.

John did not disappoint in the end, he decided to beat schizophrenia with will. He bravely challenges the illusion, he wants to be who he is. He was tortured in the illusion time and time again, but he stubbornly walked towards the real world again and again. He succeeded, and although the three characters who only lived in his mind still appeared frequently, he could already control himself to ignore them. He returned to his former self, the genius who galloped in the realm of mathematics.

One of John's words really touched me. The students who came to visit him asked him how he felt when he was often entangled in the past. He answered lightly, "Everyone is entangled in the past." Yes, everyone has a past. John's past is the three people he made out of. But every time he saw them, John was able to ignore them. This is the courage to say goodbye to the past and embrace the future. No matter how beautiful the past is, how much I miss it, it has passed away after all, and it is already unreal. Living in the past is like living a schizophrenic John, unable to tell what is true and what is false.

The movie "A Beautiful Mind" tells the story of John Forbes Nash, a mathematician with schizophrenia, who devoted himself to research in the fields of game theory and differential geometry, and finally won the Nobel Prize in Economics. The film tells about the beautiful love between him and his wife. It is the consistent company of his wife that helped him finally get out of the torment of schizophrenia and reach the peak of his life.

And this movie is far more shocking to us.

When John and his wife first met, he was already in a schizophrenic state and had hallucinatory roommate Charles. It was his love at first sight for his wife that inspired him to make a breakthrough in game theory.

After his wife fell in love with him, his schizophrenia symptoms became more and more serious, but he still obeyed the call of his heart, refused the request of the hallucinatory character Pacher, and insisted on marrying his wife.

Later, when his wife called the psychiatrist, although he refused Pacher's request (let him kill his wife), he still knocked down his wife and children. However, it was after his wife left in despair with the child that he looked at the little niece of the hallucinatory character Charles, and suddenly thought that she had not grown up for so many years. This allowed him to distinguish between hallucinations and reality in an instant, and realize that he was indeed ill.

In the end, he didn't want to go back to a mental hospital. His wife respects his choice and accompanies him to fight against the hallucinations. Although in the end, he can still see the characters in the hallucination, but he has completely ignored them by his own willpower.

We can clearly see that although John has always lived in his own world and is troubled by schizophrenia; however, at a critical moment, he will always listen to the voice of his own heart and make the best choice for himself.

In fact, in our lives, we often live in our own world - we only see what we want to see, only hear what we want to hear, and only believe the facts we identify. This film uses a realistic approach to remind everyone that at critical moments, we must let go of the judgment and analysis of the mind, and instead listen to the call of the heart. Because the mind is the wisest part, it will make the choices that are most beneficial to you.

Therefore, I tell every seeker who comes to Dumai Academy: at every crossroads in life, at every moment of hesitation and entanglement, please remember to be quiet and listen to the call from the heart. When we can do this, we will find that at the crossroads, there are road signs that guide the direction of the mind; those hesitations and entanglements, there are signs of the right choice of the mind.
