detail! detail! detail!

1. Simple and verbose

A very hearty movie that shows that the story of the movie is told quite well.

The point of inspiration

1. The way the story is told

I have seen many Quentin movies before. This presentation is very Quentin. It should have a narrative structure similar to that of Pulp Fiction. It is worthy of our study and reference, and has a certain degree of recognition. And the characters in it are mainly just a few actors, which is very interesting.

2. The details are decided~

To convince others, try to portray as many details as possible, because the more details, the more difficult it is to fake. However, in fact, many clever frauds are 9 true and 1 false, or 99 true and 1 false. The opposite is true, mainly because most people do not pay enough attention to details. That's the story of Mr. Orange pretending to be a drug dealer, and the same is true of Quentin's storytelling and portrayal of characters, full of details.

3. Color

It's interesting to name it by color, especially the part where Mr. Fan refuses to fail is hilarious.

4. Perspective

Storytelling from the perspective of God is very different from the perspective of most protagonists. It makes people clearly realize that the world is probabilistic and full of chance. Everyone is at most the protagonist of their own world, and can only be a supporting role in other people's worlds, and a very casual thing is over. This is a good reminder that the protagonist's aura may not exist~

5. Violence

The movie is very "violent", but there is no direct shot. The violent scenes all happen off-camera. I don't know if it is intentional or not. I remember "Pulp Fiction" as well. Cooperate with God's perspective to further present a more real world.

3. Questions

1. Mr. Orange's last apology left me a little speechless.

2. Mr. Bai's maintenance of Mr. Orange is a bit too much, and of course there are reasons for it.

4. Summary

After reading it, I realized that this is Quentin's debut. This is still very surprising, and it has a sense of sight that is the peak of the debut. And I am a little curious that there are so many guys with superb acting skills to play the role just after debut. Anyway, it's a great movie~ There is also a poster that is very interesting.

Reservoir Dogs quotes

  • Mr. Pink: Look, I ordered coffee. Now we've been here a long fucking time and she's only filled my cup three times. When I order coffee, I want it filled *six* times.

Mr. Blonde: Six times. Well, what if she's too fucking busy?

Mr. Pink: The words "too fucking busy" shouldn't be in a waitress's vocabulary.

Nice Guy Eddie: Excuse me, Mr. Pink, but I think the last fucking thing you need is another cup of coffee.

  • Mr. White: You can't leave this guy with them.

    Nice Guy Eddie: Why not?

Mr. White: Because he's a fucking psycho. And if you think Joe's pissed off, that ain't nothing compared to how pissed off I am at him, for putting me in the same room as that bastard!

Mr. Blonde: See what I've been putting up with, Eddie? I fucking walked in here, I told these guys about staying put. Mr. White whips out his gun, he's sticking it in my face, calling me a motherfucker, saying he's gonna blow me away and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
