Review The Lion King 3D

I know The Lion King is a classic. I still cried several times when I saw it this time. I was young, ignorant, and didn't understand at all. I don't understand what's so good about those animals dancing. I just think it's very good, the cartoon can still be so long, and finally it is not a 20-minute episode; and the story is very good, far better than the animated series of The Lion King that CCTV1 is broadcasting.

Now, I dare not say that I am sensible, but at least I have made progress. Infected and moved, I learned about some meanings of life, mission, destiny, and hard work; I also understood some Western culture, such as why Simba released Scar; I also thought about something similar to WHO ARE YOU, sigh endlessly.

The above, the film's bearing, is very good, worthy of praise. With the music, plus the details, it's all very good.

Based on the above considerations, The Lion King is a very good work, 98,99 level. 100 I only give Wall-E, Disney is still a little hot, always like PIXAR.

Below are the criticisms, mainly aimed at The Lion King 3D, of course, The Lion King also has some of these shortcomings.

1. This is a King and Prince movie. Although we can learn a lot from King and Prince, when people ask "what's the matter with me?" reason to answer. Anyway, I didn't find it.

Simba is destined to be King, but in modern society, most people, who, what is his destiny? If your own answer is not destined... Then, it is really a film that has nothing to do with us but is very infectious. It is destined that the emotions and tears in our cinema will disappear with the nonsense when we go home. . What is even sadder is that one day in the future, you will feel that you are living in a hypocritical modern society, you will feel very sad, and you will feel the need to torture your soul, listen to the weakest voice in your heart, and find the so-called soul of yourself. At that time, you asked yourself a question: how long have you been moved? You may have forgotten that you were touched by watching The Lion King one day; it is also possible that you remembered it by accident, but suddenly felt so hypocritical that you were actually moved by the story of the prince's revenge, that kind of bloodline thing What the fuck does it have to do with yourself?

In fact, Simba has been considered by the goddess of fate, if any, favored; even if he was really unfortunate later. Don't you suddenly realize that the problem he faces, WHO YOU ARE, is easier than yours? At least, he has more clues than you to pursue the answer to this question. But the same question, on ordinary people, we don't have any clues to pursue the answer. If you are a pessimist, you will feel that Goddess of Fortune doesn't bother to ask you questions like WHO YOU ARE. Even if you find it, no one bothers to listen. Not only does Simba have leads, but friends, of course you have friends, I have friends, and even our friends might be better, but... well, I don't have Nala, and I admit I'm a little jealous, but that's not me the topic of the paragraph. The theme is that it is harder for the average person to answer the question WHO YOU ARE. I don't want to continue to expand, so I just press the analysis that does not show the Simba option, and the option of ordinary people basically does not even have this problem with the analysis. Continue the conversation of friends. Friends in Simba, assortment: Timon and Pumbaa, Nala, Rafiki and Lions. Who, an ordinary person, would have these friends at the same time? My words, I am very confident in my friends, I can name many more than Timon and Pumbaa, but this is the end, the rest are gone... well, lucky people, there will be Nala, The closest person of the opposite sex, your wife or husband, who has helped you tremendously in life and career. So what about Rafiki? I'm afraid no one can have it? If you say a Lions Corps to support you, if you can get some powerful, whether it is money, power or current situation, then Rafiki is really rare. Rafiki, the mandrill, knows the writing from the slightest, knows the front and back, distinguishes right from wrong, understands the truth, understands yin and yang, and is skilled in martial arts... He guided King, assisted King, and was a figure like Jiang Shang...

2. The introduction of Zen culture. This may be my ignorance, criticism is welcome. I always feel that Rafiki, the mandrill, is the embodiment of Meditation in Indian culture or enlightenment or Zen in Chinese culture. Considering the strength of kung fu, it is more like the incarnation of the Taoist Shaolin monk; but considering that Rafiki really called back the spirit of Mufasa to guide Simba, not the more mysterious things of Shaolin Zen - if it is Shaolin Zen, It should be Rafiki's smile, Simba's spirit suddenly opened up, and he had an epiphany, and he wouldn't have to toss for so long - but the way the film is handled, some parts are very similar - anyway, I mean, there are many places in that Rafiki, there are very few senior monks , but there are some differences. (I think that the gods and monks in Tianlong Babu used suspended animation to recapture Qiao Yuanshan and Murong Bo, which is not a Zen style. Zen should be disdainful of doing this. If you smile, you should be able to KO.) (I am a fan of Buddhism. Zong has heard of it a bit, but after all, he has not studied it. If it is wrong, please advise, or you can smile at me...)

I am critical of these things, because I am against the mysterious things in the culture. Xuanxu, I think if it is too much, it will lead the culture astray. To put Rafiki at the head of a key player in Simba's transformation, I think, is an overkill. I don’t think it’s the same concept as magic in magic movies or robots in future movies or heroes in Marvel movies; they, even children, don’t necessarily take it seriously. When it matters, their inner reason is very clear, it’s not true . However, Rafiki's way of enlightenment may not be taken seriously like those mentioned above; even, many people take it seriously for a while. For example, when I was a few years younger, I watched the preaching elements in martial arts movies, and I really seriously thought about the mind as still as water, the qi sinking in the dantian, there are no tricks to win, concentrating the whole body on one point, enlightenment, etc. things like that. The film, whether intentionally or not, or just trying to pay homage to ancient Indian or ancient Chinese civilization, should be criticized for its betrayal of modern human knowledge and cognitive systems.

3. This is the main point of my criticism. The sincerity of the movie is not enough. A few years ago, after Cameron showed Avatar, 3D films failed a lot, such as Clash of the Gods. I think the 3D effect of this film is not up to my requirements. And, think, a film that's not serious, should be punished in terms of scoring, whether the original is classic or not. To sum up, I think The Lion King is still at the level of 92-95 points. But the 3D effect is done. Anyway, I am not satisfied. The penalty score should be around 75. However, I really didn't want to give 4 stars, so I gave 3 stars.

In terms of details, I don’t think it’s a work from this year, like it’s from the 1990s, because the details are still the original ones. Those hairs, I know, in the 90s, it was really not easy, but this is not the attitude to please the audience in 2011. The 3D of many scenes is actually only three layers in the far, middle and near... Of course, although I have only used it, it is not easy to do each layer, but, again, you are facing the audience in 2011. In 2009, there was Avatar. After many failed works, there were enough lessons, but still this 3D, the attitude is not good. It is obviously to take classic movies out to make money.

Disney, have you ever thought that in the preview of the film before the movie, there are some scenes of "Happy Feet Two", and then, seeing the 3D footage of this film... the drop... the drop understand? The audience is looking forward to classic + modern technology, not expecting classic + modern to deal with casually!

The Lion King quotes

  • Pumbaa: Anything we can do?

Young Simba: Not unless you can change the past.

  • Scar: Simba. What have you done?

Young Simba: There were wildebeests, and he tried to save me. It was an accident. I didn't mean for it to happen.

Scar: Of course. Of course you didn't. No one ever means for these things to happen. But the king is dead. And if it weren't for you, he'd still be alive.
