The protagonist is a pair of clownfish father and son living off the coast of Australia. The father, Marlin, became a soldier because of witnessing the death of his wife, and he took great care of his young son Nemo, for fear of making a mistake. But things backfired. The rebellious son finally couldn't bear the all-round confinement of his father. He rushed into the dangerous waters alone, and happened to fall into the trap set by the humans who came to collect marine life.
