The first is fast food culture
With the rapid development of media technology, all kinds of fast food entertainment programs appeared explosively, and when these people couldn't pass the boring people, Truman came into being.
The program that is broadcast live almost 24 hours a day, without the knowledge of the parties involved, the script carefully written by the director, the expensive venue... Due to these excellent features, it brings an inexplicable sense of intimacy and satisfaction to the audience. Their desire to spy on the private lives of others has made this large-scale reality show well-received by people around the world.
All of this seems to be alluding to the current entertainment show. In other words, the Truman Show can be seen as a bold prediction of the director's future media show type. Therefore, Truman's world is not only a sobering fable, the movie itself also has very important practical significance. Perhaps when fast food culture develops to a certain extent, many human beings will agree to treat an innocent person as an animal Let's keep this idea in captivity, it sounds like fun after all! (funny)
The second is the people who eat melons and the actors in the film and television base in the film.
Captive Truman seems to be commonplace in the eyes of most people.
From the perspective of actors, except for Truman's friends and first love, almost no one will really care about Truman's feelings. Take Truman's wife as an example. She is so hypocritical that it is disgusting. When she was arguing with Truman, she still risked exposure to finish the entire advertisement. chill...
It has to be said that the actors in the base are very competent, but they have abandoned their due humanity and made it their job to control Truman's life, just like a large group of people taking care of a pet, completely ignoring Truman. Treat it as a person.
From the point of view of innocent audiences, on the surface, they are not the direct murderers who imprisoned Truman, but objectively, if it were not driven by the huge demand from audiences all over the world, Truman might have been freed long ago... When they watched with relish When they were watching Truman's private life, they were completely unaware that all this was pre-arranged by the director, the location, character, time and events were all scripts, and the original sense of reality was all illusion. No one treats this show rationally, it's just a bunch of cows being led away.
When Truman escaped successfully, people all over the world cheered for him, but after the turmoil calmed down, people realized that the Truman show had disappeared, and that they had lost a show that usually kills time, and the demand was rekindled. Will it not lead to the appearance of the next Truman?
The third point is the director, if he adopts a child, can he control his life at will, regardless of his feelings, which includes killing his "father", kidnapping his first love, and imprisoning him on a small island for life On...the answer must be no.
The director did not really love Truman, but more of a relationship of interest. In order to appease the disturbed audience, he even promised to live broadcast his sex process. The exhortation to Truman at the end of the film seems very affectionate, but just a few minutes before he still wanted to kill Truman. This old bastard wanted to retake Truman by emotional cards after his defeat, but fortunately Truman was determined enough. Step out of the cage to break free, and no longer live for the world.
So about the last few words of advice from the director to Truman, some of what he said may be right, but no matter how bad the outside world is, Truman also yearns for it. After all, it will not be so hypocritical there. There is a girl waiting in Fiji. he……
