It's a freshman that I watched this movie at the first time. The truth is that I watched it for two days. Two hours and 55minutes, it's really a long movie. And I'm afraid that I can't stand the scene of frantic violence. Because of my major in college, comparing to the scene of blooding and losing arms and legs, the white bones was easier to accept. This movie was watched for two parts in the film appreciation, which gave me a deep impression, rather than the scene of death. The death due to one reason –freedom!
Freedom was compared with the heroic for a long time, which this classic Oscar movie told us.
The background of the movie is the true history. And the roles in this movie are the typical heroes. It's hard to have a good present. However, MelGibson worked hard from the whole story and creating the scene to shape the roles. It made the movie move people deeply as a history book. We have many words to say.
In early days, in my view, Scotland and England were one family. After high school history class, I knew that its exist in a name only. Scotland has been fighting for its own completely independence. It's appeared on some sports competition. I knew more about the original expectation of Scotland. England, a really capitalism, the great dictator, wanted to conquer all nations and countries as his own vassals for raw.
In the beginning of this movie, the scene of the sacrifice of Wallace's father and relations was fully into the side section, which in the view of younger Wallace to understand the sorrow. Then he returned to his hometown and made the love of him and Mellen as a front, the bullying of the Scotland as a background. When he would spend his beyond comfortable and happy life with Mellen, conflicted was intensified, a hero was born.
Because the belief in mind –freedom. He conflicted bravely. He was himself . He was really super brave and had the precious heritage from his uncle- intelligence and courage. From then on, he was on the way of finding the freedom of life. He trusted others. He scarified himself bravely for the freedom of Scotland people. He was great!
At first, William Wallance was an ordinary person, just like us. But because of family, love and country, which he love the simple and happy life, opposed the power base of the first night. He fought for his family, love and folks …. If he did not have the appreciation of life, he would not be a hot blood man. If he did not have the obligation and responsibility to the people, he will not be a hero.
During the war, William won the reputation of the legendary hero. His mass response for the wise and brave, and even the nobles of Scotland was impressed in constant victory. The nobles wanted to follow his model so that they can lead the employed people to defend their land. However, when faced the strong enemy of England, they intended to do peace negotiation. The courage was so empty that no one felt the necessary for the fighting. William's team arrived, when they would fail. Through a shocked speech, he explained the relationship between war and people clearly. They were not lords' bargain ship, but the realization of their value.
Riding in the wild mountain in Scotland, Wallance, the name is more than a symbol. He was the savior of the civilian population in Scotland, the revenge of god. To England, he is the enemy and the immortal god of war in the heart of the crown princess' frozen heart, it's another name for man and the love of god.
I will not forget the moving scene that William said a word- freedom before he died. The shocking of this word lasted the film end with the background music . Respect the William! He was really brave and talented. He trusted others. He scarified himself bravely for the freedom of Scotland people. He was great!
Freedom is the most precious thing. Countless heroes were scarified for it, at the same time, they're brave as well. The freedom of the highest level is for nations and people.
In fact, we need a brave heart to do many things, which we can defeat everything for our belief and cut off the thorns ahead.
Now I want say to myself, say to everyone that although we are not fighting for freedom, we are just fighting for ourselves, challenging ourselves, overcoming ourselves, learning to William Wllance. Make a wish in our minds, to have a firm belief. Let us say loudly: fighting! Come on! Even if the result is a failure, but we tried, do not regret it!
