What episodes of "Braveheart" impressed you

Just finished watching Braveheart.

There are a few deep feelings.

Read the movie review. There are a lot of people who feel that the storyline is dragging on.

. . . Didn't feel the same way about them.

The first touch was William Wallace roaring in front of the army with a blue face, disrupting the negotiation. I was instantly fascinated by this bohemian man.

The second time he was betrayed by a Scottish nobleman. Raise your arms and shout on the battlefield and watch the traitor ride away. I guess I'm as sad as he is.

the third time. He took revenge on the Scottish nobility. Happy revenge. Hundred times return.

the fourth time. after his death. Some people feel sorry for him and are willing to live up to his aspirations. Some people are stubborn and unrepentant.

summary.

Fight for faith. Unyielding.

Fight for trust. Be loyal.

Except for the freeeeedom at the end of the film, the theme of the fight for freedom is really rare.

William Wallace: Go home. Some of us are in this; can't help that, now. But you can help yourselves. Go home.

MacGregor: We'll have no homes left when the English garrison from the castle comes through and burns us out. And they will!

[Wallace motions for the MacGregors to join them]

  • Robert the Bruce: I'm not a coward. I want what you want, but we need the nobles.

    William Wallace: We need them?

    Robert the Bruce: Aye.

    William Wallace: Nobles.

    [laughs a little]

William Wallace: Now tell me, what does that mean to be noble? Your title gives you claim to the throne of our country, but men don't follow titles, they follow courage. Now our people know you. Noble, and common, they respect you. And if you would just lead them to freedom, they'd follow you. And so would I
