The turning point of the character concept is not convincing enough

A very heavy story, the end is a new beginning of the protagonist's life, obviously, there are many more stories to come. The narrative of the film makes people feel a little light: for example, about his experience in his youth, he only mentioned the influence of his father's racist views on him, and the shadow of the murder of his father in his heart; about his experience in prison, only An experience of being sexually assaulted and befriending a black inmate. Not sure how much these life experiences alone could affect his worldview. In addition, a confession from the elder brother can make the younger brother who has been deeply immersed in the mud, which is quite ideal. I don’t know how moving Norton’s eloquence can describe his prison experience. Anyway, it is difficult for me to visualize it. The story gets that kind of spiritual earth-shaking shock.
