IMAX, 3D
I started looking forward to it on Christmas Eve.
First time watching an IMAX movie. I heard that 109 cinema introduced equipment in the past few days just to stage avatar, and transformed a screening hall into IMAX. I haven't been to the cinema for more than a year. I smell the long-lost popcorn fragrance, which warms my heart.
There is a large billboard introducing IMAX technology in the movie theater. After a brief look, it is not fundamentally different from ordinary movie theaters. The sound effect is better, and the screen is larger. Even wearing glasses, may not see any way.
Brother Shi said that the expected IMAX screen should be several floors high, but the IMAX screen in front of us only reminds everyone of the big movie theater when we were young. There are some curved big screens in the small hall, that's all.
We watched it with English dubbing and Japanese subtitles. I was afraid I couldn't understand it, so I watched the trailer before going there. A lot of reviews say the trailer is bad, but I think it's great, especially the music in the trailer is great. The posters are a little gloomy and ugly, but that's true.
Before the movie started, there was a trailer for Depp's Alice in Wonderland, the 3D effect was good, and the shape was cute, which gave me the next look.

The first picture is a huge spaceship inside the warehouse, floating The drifting astronaut, the hero appeared from one of the capsules. My childhood dream was to be an astronaut, so I really like the silvery-white metallic luster of the inner compartment of the spacecraft. Although I am getting farther and farther from my childhood dream, I still think that the color of technology is silver-white, and the future state is Float and weightlessness. The color of dreams as a child is deeply ingrained, no matter how old or how far you are from your dreams.

The male protagonist Jake is a man in a wheelchair who manipulates a Na 'vi flesh. It's very similar to the movie The Matrix. (I hate the Chinese translation of The Matrix, I don't know what it means!)
The Matrix is a movie that triggers philosophical thinking. Sometimes I will question the way humans understand the world. I even think that it is because materialism manipulates science that we only see the appearance of everything, but in fact this is extremely superficial and conceited; idealism emphasizes the power of consciousness, Neo can transcend life and death because he masters himself consciousness. Neo's companions, the awakened ones, still can't see life and death. After the virtual world dies, they will naturally empathize with the real body and let the real body die without any damage. This is actually the sadness of materialism. Humans can easily see the truth of the growth and operation of all things, but they cannot see their own consciousness, let alone control it. Whether or not you can control your consciousness is the difference between a savior and an ordinary person.
The movie Avatar is different from The Matrix in that its starting point is not to provoke philosophical thinking, but it also emphasizes the power of consciousness more or less. Although Jake is a person in a wheelchair, he has a fearless heart. Perhaps it is because of this that he is more easily accepted by the Na'vi people and learns the skills of the Na'vi people. Learning these skills requires a belief that everything in nature can communicate with and accept people. The Na'vi people believe in nature, and the earth people are bent on conquering nature. This difference in nature eventually led to war. The fact is also the case. People increasingly realize that under the emotion of rebelling against nature, no matter how advanced the technology is or how good the appearance of life is, the mind will not be truly peaceful.

In addition, the director James Cameron's concern and respect for the disabled also touched me. Caring for the handicapped is just talking about most people, or even more, caring for the handicapped in life, and this is only the surface of caring. What people with disabilities need most is to be recognized and respected by society.
James Cameron conveys a voice through the film that the hearts of disabled people are not weaker than ordinary people, but on the contrary they may be braver, fearless and pure, just like Jake, they can be recognized and accepted by Na'vi people through the power of the heart , and even eventually accepted by the Pandora' star nature.
Jake is actually not the most pitiful disabled person, because his way of thinking is the same as that of ordinary people, and there are many people who are defined as mentally disabled, who need to be understood more.
I remember there is a famous video on youtube called In My Language. It is a selfie of an autistic girl. In the video, the girl is humming in a gentle tone all the time, without the beauty of music at all, and has been doing boring things, such as The weird act of rubbing a book against your face. But at the end of the film, the girl explained her behavior. She said that she did these things because she communicated in the surrounding environment. She had her own language. Why is the language and communication methods used by ordinary people regarded as normal. , and the communication methods of autistic people are regarded as abnormal. Is it just to use the number of people to define normal and abnormal?
Therefore, caring for the disabled and making their lives convenient and comfortable on a physical level is not enough, but more importantly, respecting the hearts of the disabled and believing that they have their own understanding of the world. If we have trouble understanding their values, at least respect them.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the language of the Na'vi people, it was the first time I saw an alien actually speaking an alien language. James Cameron has constructed a real alien planet for everyone. Advanced 3D technology can only bring people a sense of visual reality, while alien language brings people a more profound experience of reality.

Let's talk about the second supporting actress, the botanist Grace. Many film critics said that this movie only portrayed the male lead Jake relatively well, and I think Grace's portrayal is not bad. Especially when Grace was dying, Jake took her to the holy place of the Na'vi tribe for help. After witnessing the beautiful and mysterious animals and plants in the Holy Land, Grace said that she really wanted to bring some samples back. Brother Shi said that he really has the professionalism of a botanist. He did not forget to collect samples when he was about to die. Grace wants to bring this detail of the sample. The humor is mixed with sadness. Scientists will always have an innate curiosity about the unknown. Perhaps from the moment of birth to the final end of life, curiosity stimulates scientists' enthusiasm for the unknown world. . In addition, the most staunch supporters of anti-war and justice are also scientists, which is also a true portrayal of reality.

There is also the third supporting actress, the placid, witty and brave female pilot. Personally, I think this female pilot is the most beautiful woman in the whole movie. Especially before her plane crashed, she said that I can't help you continue fighting Jake, um, it's probably such a sentence, a very straightforward sentence showing self-control and calmness, this is the ultimate performance of professional, Make me love so much.

I strongly want to grow a Na'vi tail, though I don't know what's the use of having a tail for someone who walks upright on both feet. . . . .

After watching the movie, I went around the biccamera and found that it was listed at the same time Avatar games on ps3 and xbox, I wish I had a TV at home.
