This film may not have a unique plot

This short comment first, this film may not have a unique plot, the following is just another plot I think:

1. The protagonist injects insulin into his wife, causing her to die. Sammy is a fraudulent insurance customer contacted by the protagonist. Sammy does not have a wife.

2. Teddy was an undercover drug cop who helped the protagonist find another prisoner who raped his wife, John G, and killed him; he also used the protagonist to kill the drug lord Jimmy (Jimmy Natalie, including Dodd, was a drug gang) , Teddy and the protagonist are undercover in this gang, the former uses the protagonist to get rid of this organization, and in turn Natalie also wants to use the protagonist to get rid of Teddy and Dodd, which are mentioned in the film.

3. At the end, the protagonist does not want to know that he has accomplished his purpose and becomes empty, so he continues to deceive himself and set Teddy as the next "John G".

Although I know some routines of spiritual themes, the ending is quite shocking: the future me was misled by the past me! Transient amnesia makes people forget the existence of time, and selective amnesia makes you feel at ease. Think about it, what would you do if you were the protagonist?

Although the setting is flawed, it is quite capable of telling a simple story through flashbacks, interludes, editing and other techniques. Similar to Inception, planting a seed produces a fruit. Just let you see the results first, and finally you will feel empowered when you see the seeds. The subject. . . It's the last part of the protagonist's monologue, but is it really a man to recite the central idea like this by the protagonist's endorsement? =

Memento quotes

  • Teddy: But when you killed him I, I was so convinced that you'd remember. But it didn't stick... like nothin' ever sticks, like this won't stick.

  • Leonard Shelby: [while walking through a parking lot, Teddy stops at his dilapidated Chevrolet] My car.

Teddy: [laughs] This is your car.

Leonard Shelby: [holds up a picture of the Jaguar with the caption My Car] Oh, you're in a playful mood. It's not good for you to make fun of somebody's handicap.

Teddy: Just trying to have a little fun.
