what can I say?

After watching this American version of "Infernal Affairs", I am reminded of infinite nostalgia for "Infernal Affairs". I have read all the "Infernal Affairs" trilogy, I feel that the classics are not there, but they are good-looking. But this Hollywood film "The Departed" is clearly artificial. I saw that the director was trying his best to interpret the essence of the original version, but it was obviously so pale. Not to mention the differences between Eastern and Western cultures, we have all watched Hollywood movies for many years, and they can all be described as immersed in our ears and deeply rooted in our hearts. Hollywood screenwriters still have the skill to fry old rice, but it's not always delicious, this one is more unpalatable.

It feels better than Infernal Affairs

    1. The acting skills of a large number of actors exploded. 2. Substantial plot and careful consideration of details. 3. Watching [the destiny of the individual and his useless struggle] makes the film connect with the tradition of Greek tragedy, which is more shocking than the slightly ridiculous "Infinite Reincarnation".

The Departed quotes

  • Billy Costigan: [coming in at last from his undercover assignment] Look, I just want my identity back, all right? That's all.

Colin Sullivan: All right, I understand. You want to be a cop again.

Billy Costigan: No, no, being a cop's not an identity. I want my *identity* back.

  • Mr. French: [quietly, in Costello's ear] Francis, we're ready for the sushi bar.

Frank Costello: [covered in blood up to his elbows, shouts] Jimmy, bring a mop. And a pail!
