Schindler's List movie review: "If you save a life, you save the whole world."

The friction between African Americans and whites caused by the recent "Floyd Incident" has been seriously fermented. Just recently, Princess 6 chose to arrange films about anti-war themes, which just happened to echo the #75th Anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Fascist War#:

I couldn't understand the high-level irony of Princess 6 before, until after I swiped "Schindler's List" on the movie channel, I complained that Princess 6 is really a high-level show with my real name! !

This is also the introduction to my review of Schindler's List.

This movie is also about racial conflicts. Although it is an old movie, Princess 6 chose to broadcast at this time, which is somewhat related to current affairs.

Conflicts between races have always existed in the Americas. "Floyd's death" is like a tinder, causing frequent turmoil in the United States, and more than a dozen countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Denmark.

But behind racial discrimination lies serious social injustice. And "Schindler's List" tells the story of racial discrimination and social injustice during World War II. The time background is the German Nazi massacre of Jews during World War II.

In the past, I was writing about the life of "The Furnace", and I said that I was watching a movie, and I was most afraid of encountering the words "adapted from true events" at the beginning of the film, and "Schindler's List", this word appeared.

The film tells the true historical events of the German entrepreneur Oscar Schindler who protected more than 1,100 Jews from being killed by fascists during World War II.

The film is 195 minutes long, and the beginning is colored: a candle is lit, a Jewish family gathers around the table, prays, sings, and the people disappear, leaving only the table and candles, the prayer is not over, the film became black and white.

The Jewish prayer song is "Golden Jerusalem". And this scene also appeared before the surrender of Germany at the end of the film. Schindler said to the workers in the factory: Today is Friday, don't you need to pray?

Then the Jewish workers re-lighted the candles and began to pray. The prayers and songs expressed the Jews' reverence and hope for the holy city of Jerusalem, and also echoed their reverence and hope for Schindler.

This is one of the things I like about this film, it not only makes the film echo the front and back, but also elevates Schindler's personality from the details. There are many heart-warming points like this, and there are also many shocking and depressing points.

For example, when the Nazis began to massacre Jews, a Jewish man sat in front of the piano and played the piano. With the beating of the piano keys, the Nazi massacre was also "intense". Two Nazi officers were at the man's door, talking about his playing Is it Mozart or Bach:

For example, in the movie Schindler explained a line for Amon, which impressed me deeply: war will bring out the ugliest side of a person. He said that the reason why Amon became like this was entirely because of the war.

Before the war started, Amon and Schindler were "allies" to spend and pick up girls together. But as the war progressed, Amon changed from a rich and noble boy to a demon who killed people at will for no reason.

However, Schindler did not notice that he himself was awakened by the mass murder of Jews and began to use money to buy Jews into factories to work in order to save their lives.

This is the difference that war brings to two people who were originally "the same kind". Some people have their conscience awakened, while others lose their conscience in the war.

While watching a movie, my friend asked me: "Amon is good or bad". I don't think it's possible to answer this question, that human nature is not singular, and sometimes cannot even be defined by simple good and evil.

The Nazi commander Amon, in the film, is absolutely an irrefutable villain, but he fell in love with Helen, a Jew who was chosen by himself as a maid, and allowed her not to wear a Jewish logo, and even made Schindler identify him. Not completely dehumanized.

But he felt that he was a noble German Nazi who could not have love with a lowly Jew, so he longed and repressed, loved Helen but tormented him. In the end, he still sold his beloved woman to Schindler at a high price as a commodity.

Look, lovers can be treated as commodities, sold at high prices, and what is love? It is this distorted love that reflects Amon's distorted personality.

There is a scene in the movie in which Schindler and Amon have a drink. Schindler said: "Forgiveness is the real imperial power."

In the next few days, Amon really began to "forgive" the Jews, saying "I pardon you." to the little boy who had soiled the saddle; he freed the women who were dragged away by the soldiers for smoking; he forgave the bathtub for not cleaning stained young man;

But these didn't last long. He really couldn't control his own nature. After finding the thorn in his fingernail, he shot the young man from a distance.

The saddle boy and the smoking woman who were forgiven before were completely moved by themselves, but they couldn't control their own nature.

According to Amon described by Helen, he could shoot a woman who passed by when he was going out, and he could randomly kill 25 Jews in the same bedroom when someone was running away.

This kind of unruly and indiscriminate killing terrifies the Jews, who are the rats and vermin living under the Nazi officers in Germany. They could be killed by the Nazis at any time, maybe just because they walked past the Nazis in Germany.

This is also a fact that Schindler cannot change. In fact, there are many officers like Amon. From Schindler's use of money to buy Jews, it can be seen that all Nazi officers acted on money, and these Jews were their commodities.

In Schindler's words: "Money is life." The translation is "money is life".

In my favorite domestic movie "I'm Not the God of Medicine", there is a line that also impressed me deeply: "Poverty is a disease".

In "Schindler's List", money can buy lives, a small gold brooch can buy two lives, and a car can buy 10 lives;

And in "I'm Not the God of Medicine", a small bottle of glenin devoured a family, leaving countless families wandering between disintegration. All confirmed the phrase "Money is life.".

The moment the classic violin sounded, 195 minutes of bitterness surged up. Schindler said to the more than 1,100 Jews he rescued: "Germany has surrendered, and you will be free after tonight. But I am a Nazi party member and an arms dealer. After tonight, I will flee. "

But the fact is that Schindler's factory never produced a single bullet, and spent all his property on German officers for Jews. The moment he went bankrupt, the Jews were emancipated.

At the end of the film, the Jewish people, like the rising sun, hold each other's hands and slowly walk from the horizon to the hopeful town. The film also changed from black and white to color, meaning the end of the dark times and the beginning of a new life.

The movie "Schindler's List" not only won a high reputation, but also won the Oscar for Best Score. The film's soundtrack was independently produced by the famous Hollywood soundtrack master John Williams.

John Williams is known for the variety of musical styles, the quantity and quality of his works, and his sincere cooperation with the film's director Steven Spielberg is a perfect match, making him a modern film score. One of the most indispensable masters of all time.

In order to render the film more empathetic, the film director Steven Spielberg also specially invited Perlman, an Israeli violin master, to play the theme music of this resentment and sorrow.

As a descendant of the Jewish people, Perlman, an Israeli, is unforgettable about this unforgettable history. He completely integrated the national tragic mood of the suffering Jews into his mournful harp.

Perhaps this national tragic mood can only be expressed so vividly under the wonderful interpretation of Perlman's textbook! I strongly recommend watching this movie~
