Schindler is a typical prodigal son. Without that ugly war, people may always think that he is a rhetorical and unsuccessful prodigal son. He is lustful, loves money, is addicted to alcohol, and even sometimes is greedy. A personal flaw was not concealed in the movie, but told everyone that he was also an ordinary person, an ordinary Nazi in the background at that time, and his pursuit of wealth made him thank the war. For Jews, he may not have any special affection for them, and he may even regard them as slaves. In the first half of the film, our Schindler blackmails wealthy Jews for fear of protecting Jews, even though he has been helping his accountant protect Jews, that's just human instinct. When he saw the massacre in the concentration camp, he would explain to the beautiful maid for his compatriots that it was only caused by the war, not his intention.
As it is said in the film, war shows the ugliest part of man and obliterates human nature. The Nazis slaughtered recklessly, standing on the balcony with bullets through the heads of passers-by for no reason. At the same time, war brings out the light of kindness in the most essential human nature. The body of the little Jewish girl in red was exhumed. Schindler gave up what could be said to be the wealth of Jewish blood and tears in exchange for a possible 1,100 lives.
To save a life is to save the world.
After the war, Schindler's business and life were all a failure. But there are more Jewish descendants of Schindler Jews in the world.
When Schindler's Jewish descendants mourned in Schindler's present, unable to control their tears, it was to wash one's soul with tears, to shed tears, to speak of the humanity within you.
Hopefully there will be no more massacres like this, and Schindler can't save them all.
