One of my favorite movies

Cristian 2021-12-09 08:01:33

Nothing else, I
recommend this movie to everyone
as the most delightful one of all the movies I have ever seen.

I think it is so
rare that it is a combination of so diverse human nature

,
the rationality of abortion,
religion, the
transformation of modern society, and
war.
Youth love,
parting,
deceit,
incest,
orphanage,
helplessness,
elder love,
impulse and rationality,
growth,

read many years ago,

and the sentence is still deep in the bones:

"Good night,
Princes of Maine,
New Kings of England..."

The casting is successful, Tobey Maguire's eyes naturally reveal the innocence and curiosity, the real Homer Wells; Charlize Theron, the beautiful, lively, simple and lovely Candy; Michael Caine, the educated and kind Dr. Lacy. Leave the orphanage, say goodbye to the old rules, and experience and grow in the outside world. The soundtrack is warm.

According to the novel, it is said that the novel is very touching. The movie is very peaceful and warm, and the scenery and characters are very clean. Charlize Theron was so beautiful when he was young, and his body was amazing. Toby Maguire is indeed very delicate and a little silly, but the character performance always feels bad. It seems that the final plot of the novel was not made into the movie, that is, Homer and his son were sitting on the cider roof together. That paragraph should have a strong suggestion and explanation for the title of the book.

The Cider House Rules quotes

  • [Homer reads the actual Cider House Rules to the illiterate workers]

Peaches: What do they think, go up to the roof to sleep? They must think we're crazy. They think we're dumb niggers, so we need some dumb rules, is what they think.

Rose Rose: That's it? It don't mean nothin' at all. And all this time I been wonderin' about 'em.

Arthur Rose: They outrageous, them rules. Who live in this cider house? Who grindin' up those apples, pressin' that cider, cleanin' up all this mess? Who just plain live here, just breathin' in that vinegar? Well, someone who don't live here made those rules. Those rules ain't for us. We are supposed to make our own rules. And we do. Every single day.

  • Homer Wells: I'm not a doctor. I haven't been to medical school; I haven't even been to high school.
