My Watchbook: The Seven Deadly Sins

This suspenseful horror film, which has been admired by many fans, did not bring me the surprise I expected, and it can even be said that it was a little disappointed. The spark created by the cooperation of the two powerful movie stars didn't even cheer me up. The tone of the whole film is very gloomy, and the suspense and horror of the case itself cannot be seen as superior. The life sermons of the later murderers make me sick. That ending - the main actor's wife was killed, and the murderer used this to draw out the "anger" of the main actor. . Overall, it's a good movie, but it's not as mysterious as the legends say.

  • William Somerset: [Reading from one of John Doe's journals] On the subway today, a man came up to me to start a conversation. He made small talk, a lonely man talking about the weather and other things. I tried to be pleasant and accommodating, but my head hurt from his banality. I almost didn't notice it had happened, but I suddenly threw up all over him. He was not pleased, and I couldn't stop laughing.

  • John Doe: Don't ask me to pity those people. I don't mourn them any more than I do the thousands that died at Sodom and Gomorrah.

William Somerset: Is that to say, John, that what you were doing was God's good work?

John Doe: The Lord works in mysterious ways.
