love and dignity

After finishing the three Lords of the Rings in a row, some details of the plot have begun to be forgotten. What is still in my mind is people's adherence to their beliefs, hope will last forever, and they will face it bravely.

Because of an accidental opportunity, the little boy was given an almost unbearable responsibility, starting from his hometown and going to the world. After completing the task through danger, he returned to his hometown, but his life could never go back. The expedition team completed the mission and lived to the end. At the same time, thousands of people lost their faith, their courage, and their lives during the war.

I was thinking, if I was faced with a multiple choice question, would I be willing to lose faith, lose courage, or lose my life? Different experiences and situations may lead to different choices.

Everyone has some thoughts and hopes to live in an ideal state. I have hoped for many, many years that my house has a large yard, planted with flowers and plants, and can enjoy the sun, air and fragrance of flowers. In fact, in life, what worries me the most is the health of my family, relationships, children's homework, some inevitable conflicts within the family, and of course, money. I've never been annoyed by not having a yard.

If I have enough money, what will I be like, will I have no worries? Obviously not, money and specific material can never be the goal of life, otherwise, as Schopenhauer said, you will either suffer because you can't get it, or you will be empty after being satisfied. If our lives are mired in layers of satisfaction and emptiness, is such a life full of nothingness?

What we should believe in and pursue in our life is a question. What this idea will make us face, what we hold on to, also determines what kind of person we become. No matter how human social relations are, or how civilization changes, what human instinct will never change is love, and social instinct is always dignity. Among them, responsibility is inseparable. Fulfill your responsibility and gain love and dignity. Give love to others and keep yourself dignified.

After watching the Lord of the Rings series, the only feeling is too good to be true, as good as fake. If only there is such a real courage in the rugged life: Destiny takes you on the road you don’t want to embark on, there are so many lost moments you are almost convinced that you will never return, even if you finally complete your mission, you will be on your body. Leave wounds that cannot be healed; when there is only the hardest way to go, you still choose to muster the courage to face it, and when you are tortured, you still choose not to give up. A destination that may never be reached. Thanks Tolkien, thank you PJ, let us see the most moving beauty in the world, even if it is fake. It still made me burst into tears about my cowardice.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King quotes

  • Gimli: What kind of army would linger in such a place?

Legolas: One that is cursed. Long ago the men of the mountain swore an oath to the last king of Gondor, to come to his aid, to fight. But when the time came, when Gondor's need was dire, they fled, vanishing into the darkness of the mountain. And so Isildur cursed them, never to rest until they had fulfilled their pledge. Who shall call them from the gray twilight, the forgotten people?

  • Aragorn: What say you? What say you? I am Isildur's heir. Fight for me. And I will hold your oaths fulfilled. What say you?
