The Lord of the Rings of Classic Memories

The re-screening of The Fellowship of the Ring is definitely the highlight of this year's old movie re-screening activities, none of which (in my opinion, even more than the Avatar re-screening). The 20-year gap has passed for several generations, and the Lord of the Rings movie viewing event has passed for a long time. At the beginning of the 21st century, the mainland film market was obviously not as large and prosperous as it is now. At that time, not to mention high-end special effects theaters such as IMAX and Dolby Cinema, the audience of ordinary cinemas was not as wide as it is now, and hundreds of millions of box office a year across the country obviously drove the Not the popularity of Lord of the Rings, and it was the era of VCD and the era of pirated movies. I am no exception. The first time I watched The Lord of the Rings was through the VCD disc. If I remember correctly, the effect of the pirated version (should still be the gun version) is ridiculous. Coupled with the lack of a good viewing environment, the viewing experience of the Fellowship of the Ring is such a long movie. From the film introduction of the news, plus no life experience at all, doesn't this feel like a story about an ancient Western Journey to the West? Later, the opportunity to change the history of my movie watching came. I need to thank an old classmate (my memory should be correct), classmate Wei Jia invited me and Gao Qiao to watch a movie, it seems that it was a ticket from his mother's unit. The location is the original Capital Cinema, not the current Xidan Joy City. The original Capital Cinema was in the current location of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, but it was later demolished and moved to Xidan Joy City. After watching the pirated version (or the gun version) and then watching the theatrical version, it is completely two movies. The viewing experience is worlds apart (I didn’t know what a movie viewing experience was at the time). The most impressive scene is actually Gandalf. When I was about to pick up the Lord of the Rings in Frodo, the Eye of Sauron suddenly appeared. The senses brought by the sound effect, the impression in the depths of my memory is not inferior to the current IMAX and Dolby Cinema, or even worse. Now that I have seen too many special effects halls, it is difficult to produce such a strong effect again. In my entire movie watching life, it was one of two events that affected the experience of watching a movie. After 20 years, it is a different experience to look back on this movie again, especially being able to watch it on the big screen of IMAX. Excluding the advantages of IMAX, I have a deeper understanding of the rhythm, plot, and characters of this movie. The Lord of the Rings' temptation to power is endless, and only the pure heart of a hobbit can resist to some extent. Twenty years ago, the understanding of the personnel of the Fellowship of the Ring was superficial. It felt like there were mages, archers, warriors, and dwarves. Isn't this the game configuration? Looking back 20 years later, it is more about wisdom, courage, persistence, responsibility, sacrifice, indomitable spirit, and team trust and friendship. In the difficult journey, there are also greed, cowardice, hesitation and confusion. The competition for the Lord of the Rings is testing everyone all the time. Lord of the Rings 1 is so huge A large amount of information, 3 hours of content without a trace of excess. The rhythm is clear, the narrative is clear, and the intense battle scenes don't require slow-motion watering. The characteristics of different scenes are prominent, the pastoral life of the hobbit, the death of the dwarves in the mine, the beauty of the elf home, and the horror of Saruman producing orcs. Before watching the movie, many points that I didn't understand have been solved. Before, I only knew that Frodo would wear the Lord of the Rings, but the Hobbit has no combat power. Can a pure heart alone accomplish such a task? This time, through various details, it was determined that Frodo was the only person to escort the Lord of the Rings. And why did Gandalf never choose to go to Moria, the incantation he chanted before his sacrifice at the Bridge of Khazad-dum "I am the servant of the secret fire, the fire of Anor, the fire of Udon, the fire of darkness cannot help you "What exactly does that mean. It is indicated that Gandalf is the identity of Maia, the servant of Iluvatar, and the Balrog is the servant of hell. This part is undoubtedly the most touching and exciting part of the first part. Countless people wept for Gandalf's sacrifice, but fortunately it was not really dead. In short, the Lord of the Rings has too many points to focus on, and three hours is just the beginning of the story. Looking forward to next week's Two Towers, my favorite of the three.
